I like the Blakbak Venom's pretty well. Nice puck feel and a great snapper. But the weight and balance certainly could be better. I think they're good for $80-90 but need improvement to become top level. I've wanted to try the Farrell sticks for a while, but I've heard they break really easily.

7pm and fedex has yet to arrive. I once had them deliver a package at 9:50 at night. That definitely is the next BUSINESS day. It's kind of um, bs. UPS never does this to me.

The new stick line redesign looks quite interesting. I wonder how the U+ octolight and U+ pro will be priced. Will the U+ pro be identified as the 2nd best stick price/performance wise to the CL or will the octolight have that crown?

Because some people believe this Exactly. I have never been under the assumption as a customer that I am always right. That's a myth. I treat others the way I want to be treated. Another thing to think about is that unfortunately in our world today customers have been trained to expect horrible customer service. I've been on both sides, providing customer service and receiving it, and I try to go into each situation with an open mind. However, most times this is what happens...I explain the problem and/or situation and then I get a blank stare with a "yeah so" or "what do you want me to do?" If the ones providing customer service would actually think about the problem and actually want to provide a solution things would be much different. But as customers we have been trained that it is going to be a fight to the death to get any help and therefore people feel they need to pump themselves up for the battle before coming in the store. I try my best to support local shops over anything on the internet, but when I go into a shop and the price on an item is say $50 and I can get it online for $24.99 I will say "oh I saw the same thing online for $24.99." What I hope to hear back is "ok let me see if I can do anything, well there is probably shipping and there is also a wait when you order online vs having it today so...although I can't sell it at $24.99 I could give it to you for $34 (or $36 or $30 just some sort of price compromise)." Instead I have gotten on numerous ocasions "well then if I were you I'd buy it online." I am reasonable, I don't expect shops to exact match online prices unless they want to. But just because you can't match doesn't mean I won't buy from you if you can compromise and show me that you are offering a value added service to my purchase that makes it worth the extra money. Yeah, I have to completely agree there. They're still making a profit at that point 9 times outta 10 and you're happy that way too.

You've got a pair of the se16's eh? How loose are they in the fingers?

Product Make/Model: TPS R10, Whip flex, Afinogenov LH. Time Used: 12-15 games Shaft feel, weight, flex etc: The width and fit seems ideal for my hands, not boxy at all to me but not too smoothly rounded either. The flex on it is listed as 65/75/90 (top, mid, taper) but feels even whippier than that. I'm 165-170 lbs and moderately strong and I can dominate the hell out of this stick on slap shots and one-timers, but it never feels like it's going to break. That said, it's too whippy for me on power shots, but superb on wristers. 10/10 The weight is listed at 425 grams, but on my postal scale it read it in 415-420 grams. It is amazingly light but doesn't feel so light that you forget where it is. I don't know how TPS managed to do this while maintaining durability, but bravo... 10/10 Stickhandling/Puckfeel/Passing/Etc: The stick is superb in terms of overall blade feel/quality/forgiveness. Puck feel is very much a matter of opinion, and I really didn't like it much at first but soon came to love it. It's not too lively or dampened, just right. Forgiveness on receiving passes is very good, but probably not quite as good as the s17 or SE in my mind. Control on passing is great, I can dangle all day long with this stick. 9.5/10 Shooting: This is where the stick truly shines. It's very effective at wrist shots and backhands. My accuracy with it is exceptional, however the Afinogenov is an insane 3/4ths curve, and I often get it up too much (that's what she said). Snappers, slappers and one-timers are pretty insane with this stick. It can withstand a LOT of loading but still feels solid. Power shots will snap right off the stick and people will be diving for cover... 9.5/10 Durability: I don't know how a stick this light is so durable, I've never seen anything better than this. After 12-15 games, I have just a couple little scratches, no paint chips, nothing else. It still looks and feels totally new. The stick has exceeded my expectations in durability by far. 10/10 Overall, it's a real tragedy that TPS isn't going to be making sticks anymore, especially this one. Final Rating, 9.5/10

I picked up a couple of vintage blue Syn St's, LH Heatley cheap off the monkey. I love the sticks personally, even if a bit blade heavy. Why does everyone hate Heatley so much?

Product: One 90, LH SR, PM9 87 flex. User: 6'0, 145, Shooting Forward Usage: 7 inline games, and 2 ice stick n puck. Shaft Feel/Flex: The very first time I picked up the stick, I was very impressed with how it felt natural in my hands. I normally don't like grippy shafts but the tactile grip works perfectly for me. Some of the paint chipped off a little quickly. The 87 flex feels pretty good to me, about as an 87 should. Rating: All personal preference Blade: The blade is very stiff and thin. It also is very durable and looks pleasant graphically without tape on, although you won't use it without tape. Edit Update: The blade is almost too thin and stiff for ice hockey. Wicked vibration pain in the hands is no fun. -1 Rating:8.5/10 Stickhandling, Passing: I enjoy passing and stickhandling a lot. This stick seems to make it easier than any other OPS I've had, including my 7k pro-lite. The one area where it's merely good and not great is in the receiving pass department. Be careful, because this blade is lively and that puck may jump right off your blade. 9/10 Shooting: AMAZING! This is a higher kickpoint shaft so when you load it up, it really returns the favor by firing missiles. The accuracy is also superb. My slappers seem to be atleast 4-8 MPH faster with this stick than any other, but hey, I don't take slappers in game! My wristers also seem to be as hard (or harder) with this stick as with any other. I've tried many OPS' in the last year and this stick is the king of the hill shooting. I also have compared it to lower kickpoint shafts and I see no true difference in my release speed. Rating: 10/10 Weight/Balance: This stick isn't the lightest on the market, weighing in at a respectable 420-430g. However, it truly feels so much lighter because of the near perfect balance. If you haven't held it before, I can't describe it. It's simply ideal. Rating: 10/10 Durability: I haven't used this stick for all that many games, but it's standing up well thus far. Ironically, in my very first game I caught the blade in a rivet along the boards and thought it was going to snap in two but didn't. Many weeks later, it still needs brand new, except for some paint chipping and tactile grip wear along a few small corners. I have a feeling it's going to last a long time. Rating: 9.5/10 Conclusion: This stick combines top level quality with top level durability and creates something that is, in my opinion, currently unmatched. Final Rating: 9/10

It's the exact same thing as the r6, but with different graphics. They're quality sticks. Btw, I have a crap ton of stuff coming in the mail. I'll probably post pics next week. <_<.

That draws my ire as well. Plenty of exceedingly wealthy people are disgustingly cheap. Maybe we should start a reality TV show documenting instances of it in order to properly embarrass them. This happens in every facet of life. I admit, I do get off a little bit by seeing these people fleeced, penny wise and pound foolish eh? The LHS near me will match almost any internet price. With that said, I don't always ask them to. They're the only shop in the area and aren't even dedicated to hockey. I realize that if I went max cheapo on them, they might not bother with hockey stuff anymore. However, because of poor selection, I literally must order most of my gear online.

Stick/Product: Rbk 7k Pro-lite pro stock Datsyuk Curve, 40kp/85 flex Time of Use: 5 games, 8-9 hours My size: 5'11 148, Inline Hockey Player, Forward/Defense Blade: It's very stiff and lively. It feels excellent and only feels super alive when shooting, not receiving pases. Flex: 40 kp, which is equal to around 85 flex on the Easton scale. It might be a little bit stiffer than that Stickhandling/Receiving Passes: EXCELLENT. This stick receives passes as good or better than any other stick I've held. Stick-handling? Also superb. The puck feel, IMHO, has yet to be beat. It is as good or better than my XN10's, which I'm now going to try and trade for more 7k's. Rating 9.5/10 Shooting/Passing: The slappers on this stick are better than any other stick, including the XN10. Backhanders are superb and wristers are also quite good. I definitely feel like this stick gives me more accuracy than any other. 9/10 Weight/Balance: One word describes it, perfect. Everyone I let hold it, even for just one second, loves it. It feels extremely light but not like it's going to fall apart on you. The weight is listed as around 400 grams and it seems like exactly that. Durability: As for as this area is concerned, I've played 5 games with it and it feels brand new. The blade seems to be about the same as day 1, I can tell no difference. I also get into a lot of stick-play but the shaft still looks brand new to me. Conclusion: I bought this stick by accident on ebay, and nearly backed out of the purchase. I decided to give it a go, and within 10 days after receiving the first, I ordered a second. I'm going to be selling my XN10's in order to get more of these. Overall: 9.9/10

Yeh, I don't like warrior either but if the stick works, it works. Easton and Warrior take opposite routes but IMHO, are equally bad. Obviously, you can't go without buying any Easton or Warrior products for long without costing yourself money.
