Blackstone Flat-Bottom V Thread
Hockeyman11385 replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I think what he is saying is that the flat spot will be deeper with a wider blade, not that you would have two flat "fangs". With this the fangs will be deeper resulting in more bite. \______/ = Wheel Shape .\_____/ ..\____/ ...\___/ \_______/ = Goalie Steel .\_/.....\_/ ..\/.......\/ ..\_____/ = Player Steel ...\/.....\/ A wider blade will go deeper into the wheel resulting in longer fangs, which leads to more bite. (I apologize for all of the periods and underscores, it was the only way I could get everything to line up.) -

Front page of the New York Times Sports section. Pretty sweet. Blackstone guys must be happy. -
It still says MIA on the tag inside the glove.

I will not deny that it is not fiscally responsible. Just poking a little fun. A car is never an investment. Once in a while you might get lucky but otherwise they are money pits. They are awfully fun though.
-
That's boring, haha.
-
Yeah, the possibilities are endless really. I would say the Carrera GT and a fun daily driver for my $400K. My dad's RS4 is sick and wouldn't mind that as a companion to the GT.
-
I can't believe how ridiculously overpriced the Lexus is. There are so many more interesting cars for that amount of money. You couldn't take me away from a low mileage Carrera GT for that money.
-
CAR Magazine (UK) and MotorTrend have both reviewed it and have been underwhelmed. They say it's certainly not worth the money.
-
I believe they are aiming for nobody selling something currently in their possession. Telling people where to buy their own is fine (hence the "good deal" thread).
-
Everybody raves about the GT-R (including me) however nobody has said anything spectacular about the LF-A, especially considering its price tag. The "right" price for an F40 is around $400K at the moment depending on what you want.
-
Yeah, nearly $400,000 is a bit much for a Lexus. (No that is not a misprint)

I wonder how long you'll make it before you're on the venting thread, haha, just kidding. Congratulations and have fun.

Blackstone Flat-Bottom V Thread

You were skating on a very shallow hollow already so I don't think that you would notice much more glide. What you should notice is better bite when you are turning and really have to count on your edges. Once you learn to trust that the edges will be there for you, you should notice better performance in tight turns, etc. -
those are beautiful Haha, says the guy with a BC logo as his avatar.
-
Haha, well you asked for the car guys opinion on it. If you like the looks and the engine work isn't too far over your head I'd say go for it. I would also say that you should have double what you think you'll have to pay fixing it in the bank because project cars always go way over budget. Another word of warning is that you'll never get the time and money that you put into it back out when/if you sell it.
-
That car is hideous.
-
I think he would post in the venting thread if it was all guys.
-
eBay?
-
Yes, that's a goalie stick. It's from one of the videos from Bauer.
-
I haven't but my dad has at the Barber Motorsports park on the track and off road. He says it's absolutely amazing. Apparently it's faster around the track than the base 997 Carrera in the hands of a pro.
-
I would get the Cayenne Turbo.
-
I would kill someone for those gloves.
