The "revolutionary" channel Z skate sharpening by Prosharp

http://prosharpnorthamerica.com/zuperior/ "The Zuperior blades helps to Improve your skating – accelleration, agility and speed. Its a new faster game with the emphasis on speed, agility and skills development. The Zuperior blade profile combines a 13 ft radius (for more power in the push and better glide) with a 7 ft radius on the toe (for quicker acceleration and shifts). Ten thousands of pro and minor hockey players have already made the switch. The Zuperior blade profile is developed in cooperation with Thomas Storm who works with skill development for the Detroit Red Wings and a vast number of other NHL players." Has anyone tried this? Wouldn't mind getting my LS3's profiled like this. -

Just got my custom shoulder pads back from bayareahockeyrepair.com (highly recommended for any custom work on hockey gear, repairs and glove repalms). Essan does amazing work with great turnaround time. I love how light the CCM CL shoulders are but hated how big the caps were (linebacker status), so I had Essan swap them out with some smaller Bauer Vapor caps. Now they're the perfect lightweight low profile shoulder pad I've been looking for! Finally came around to taking a quick shot of all my gear: New items: Bauer MX3 skates (Decided to switch from Vapor APX2's to these and so glad I did! So much more lighter, love the lace lock system and the back calf flex!)Pro-stock Warrior Projekt Elbow pads (Seriously the most comfortable elbows on the market that actually stay in place)Pro-stock San Jose Shark Easton gloves (Dan Boyle)

Also anyone know the name of the drill/concept of skating with the puck, weaving left to right and right to left doing short crossovers? (Often 3 step crossovers to the right then 3 step crossover to the left) Trying to find videos for this, but not sure what to search for. Is this considered Lateral Mobility? Here's kind of an example of what I'm looking for:

I currently play in a intermediate level league right now. I can skate fairly well and can dangle every so often. I started with roller when I was 13 years old but stopped once I hit high school and college then returned but didn't start playing ice until about 8 years ago. I play in a few different leagues at different rinks. Every so often I play pickup hockey and sometimes play against old college players. I saw one guy skate weaving through people making them look like cones the these "cones" are not bad players either, I couldn't believe the skill this guy had skating with the puck. I've never had any formal coaching or lessons for skating or hockey. So for someone like me, I'm looking to find a camp that can really help me get to the next level. Something that is geared towards intermediate level players trying to get to an advanced level. I just want to really improve my skating with forward crossovers with full forward speed (weaving around players), hockey stops on my weak side and my snap shot. I live in Northern California, although there's tons of rinks here (Sharks ice, Oasis, Fremont Ice) all the camps and clinics are for kids :( There's a Robby Glantz power skating 3-session camp at Oasis (Redwood city) in May, but reading reviews it's not that valuable. I've also looked in to Weekend Warriors in Tahoe, but that seems to be geared towards beginners. I've heard people talk about CanAM and HH. I'm willing to travel if I can't find one around California but I want to make sure it's worth it. Can anyone recommend a camp/clinic for someone at my level? Can you tell me about your experience and how it helped? Thanks

I just slapped on some Step steel for the first time, I love how high it is. Now I can lean my skate hard on crossovers without scraping the side of my vapors. Do you guys profile the front (shave the toe)? or what do you guys recommend? I don't want a forward pitch but want to be able to make sharp turns.

I was wondering the same thing lol, I picked these up from some guy locally who bought it from someone else. Was so stoked they had digital palms though!

Can someone post pictures of the three different cuffs? I know there's Savard, Hossa and Kovalchuk. I'm about to order some customs, but want the blooming cuff on top of my wrist and a really short mobile cuff on the bottom of my wrist, so what should I order? Also I normally wear a 14" glove, but I heard with the certain Franchise gloves I should go with a 13" does that apply to Customs or just Pro stocks? I just want the following: Options to make this the lightest glove possible (all tuff-tek and no poly inserts?) (Mustang palm lighter than MicroNash?)I don't need the poly inserts, but would like to have the locked thumb, is that possible?Which cuff provides the best mobility for stick handling? Thanks! -
Seriously what camera and lens did you use to take those pictures? wow I actually just bought the same X60 pro gloves and have the X60 LE's. You got good taste! haha

Blackstone Flat-Bottom V Thread

Damn I'm torn now, I have the 100/50 and I love it. So the 90/75 has more glide? I was searching google and found this description: "When selecting depths, average skaters should start with a 100/50 FBV (equates to a traditional ½” depth). If more bite is required, try switching to a 100/75 FBV (equates to a traditional 3/8” depth). If less bite is required (for highly skilled elite players), try switching to a 90/75 FBV (equates to a traditional 5/8” depth)" For highly skilled elite players, less bite is required? Why is that? Don't they take sharper turns? Sorry I'm new and a little confused. Can someone clarify? -
DavidT You got those Whitney's from ebay huh? I won the same auction but the guy had two pairs and I bought the other one he had. The easton part wasn't scratched off. Love the gloves though, sooooo light
