  1. What does a 40/80 profile mean? (on Gonchar's 1" hollow)
  2. That was the same scenario for my team a few years ago. So, the goalie formed a breakaway team, which now plays 6 divisions above the original team.
  3. It's a good life lesson; life isn't fair and some people get lucky, but you can control your own life.
  4. Is this the marriage that you weren't too sure about, or am I confusing this with somebody else? Anyhoo, have fun with the good stuff that you've lined up. :)
  5. And, before you know it, you will all be playing in a parents - kids game and they will be zipping by you, waiting for you to catch up so they can set you up. Or they could be like my kid, playing on the other team and telling me that I suck.
  6. i'm actually having the same type of problem on the inside front part of my left ankle on my s12's. hurts like a mother. instead of taking the entire piece of felt out like you did, i decided to take an exacto knife to that same part of the tongue and just sort of trim some of the thickness off. i was worried about taking the whole piece out like you did in fear that it may increase the volume a bit too much in that part of the skate. it's a bit better now, but still getting some pain there. might have to take that part out entirely like you did though. I'm having the exact same problem with my one95's, just on the outside of my right ankle! It's unbelievably painful and I usually have to throw a piece of foam under the tongue to help. Anyone else have any other problem similar to this that they were able to fix? there isn't much tongue on the one95 as it is... If the one95s have the molded piece of plastic foam inside the tongue, perhaps the molded piece has creased or is breaking down.
  7. Got my PMP designation without studying too much.
  8. Underpowered? Where are you getting your information guy? Maybe the Yaris? Even that has enough snap to get you by, -My brother just bought an 04' Tundra, leather interior and heated and all that jazz, and it's pretty mint, and were in Red Deer. its gonna have enough...but you'll definitely feel your load if you get me, but it'll be a solid family car nothing that'll blow you away though...but i guess your set on that never drove a pickup in my life...so got nothing to compare that to It's me who is getting the Venza, and QandA has added to your post to help me out about the power. Anyways, I can see how the cloth is wearing away in my 14 yr-old Civic hatchback, but the cost for leather only is a little too much for me, so we'll probably go with cloth seats. 2-month wait after I order it!
  9. Yes, the Venza is like the station wagon version of a Camry / Avalon, and it is more expensive. We are going with the V6 engine and AWD. It's made in Kentucky, so the money will kind of stay in North America. I'm worried about the leather cracking, especially with the dry summers and winters that we get in Calgary, but my wife really really wants the seat warmers. There is a premium package that comes with leather and the seat warmers, but it has all kinds of things (e.g. chrome handles) that we don't want and it's $8000 or so. The leather package has just leather seats and panel accents, and the seat warmers.
  10. OK, I'm going with the Venza. My wife wants heated seats, but that only comes with the Leather package. Is the Leather package worth the extra $1700 or so, and is it hard to maintain (never had leather before). I'm debating on the sunroof, too.
  11. I've driven or ridden in the CR-V, Escape and Rogue. I would avoid the Escape of those 3, but you really need to sit in them and see how you like them. OK, thanks for the warning about the Escape. We're going to see the Venza tonight. When I was young, the Ford soundbite used to be "At Ford, Quality is Job 1". Now, the latest ad campaign emphasizes that "Ford is the safest". How times have changed!
  12. The boy in the family is about to go on an 8-day field trip to Eastern Canada, so the wife is feeling anxiety. I figured this would be a good time to get a new car (not a new used car, but a new new car this time). Either a Venza, a CR-V, an Escape, a Grand Vitara, or a Rogue.
  13. A few more, some that I'm not sure about: Tuuk V2 blades. Kor skates, maybe (?): good product, but tough competition and the marketing strategy didn't work out. CAG-1 auto skate sharpener and profiler (?). Bauer Tri-Flex OPS. Bauer Vapor shafts. Busch graphite OPS (?) Winn-well long cuff gloves (?) Attack triangle Hockey stride weight machine (don't recall the name) with 45-degree angled sliders, looked like a nautilus machine.
  14. Has more to do with equipment managers than anything else. I have seen what JR is talking about; the high-level players have high-level equipment managers that know what the players on their teams need and can give it to them consistently, and so the high-level players never know what ROH they are using. They just know that they get them sharpened for the practice and game-day skate, and then the blades are perfect for the game.
  15. I can just see his reply: "But I've always dressed him here!"
  16. In fact by the end of the playoffs they all had it and I had come to find out they use a Triple Profile on all Players were the Penquins use only the double. There was some very interesting things there. Penguins (hardly anyone on Step and double profile) Redwings (all on Step and triple profiles) Triple profiles - is that different radii for the front, mid, and back of the blade? And, is it blended in by eye, or are there triple profile template bars?
  17. Yes, but only if the one90s fit her foot type...
  18. Great pic. In the clutch-and-grab NHL, the Wild players would have been hooking and holding David, but now all 3 are playing the puck.
  19. sendspace download link to the interview, minus the intro.
  20. I am in the midst (1st hour out of approximately 2) of uploading it to sendspace. It's a 126 MByte file, and I missed the beginning of the interview. If that doesn't work Chadd will help me upload it.
  21. OK, I'm recording it. They're just in the middle of talking about the white skates, and how they don't want to offend the vets... Now, about how his brother (kovy_ribs_fedo) taught him his stickhandling... How do I post this (later)?
  22. OK, perfect. Thanks for that.
  23. Can somebody record the show for us?
  24. There's something not right about that picture...Wait, I got it...those jerseys...they look...like, like....HOCKEY JERSEYS!!!!! Holy shit! How dare they, make a new hockey jersey that looks like a classic hockey jersey! /rant //sarcasm ///slashies! btw...I want one! Also, he has sock tape instead of white tape.
  25. Beautiful dangle, nice goal.
