I've always had trouble with UPS for delivery to my home. Also, in Canada they add brokerage fees etc., so we try to use USPS / Canada Post as much as possible.

After a few seasons, finally making enough of the transition from F to D so that I know what to do instead of thinking about what to do.

I needed to sharpen the skates anyway, so I "went for it" and got a 5/8" hollow (was at 1 1/4" before). Better backside recovery, got used to skating and stopping on it during warmups. I think the sharper hollow helped during the game itself. I will probably go for 1/2" next time. I just ordered some Bauer one95 goalie skates (used) on Kijiji. Hoping that they will fit better than what I'm using at the moment, Vapor XIX. And, I have to get and try some foaming motorcycle helmet cleaner.

I'm thinking of going with a deeper hollow. But, the question is, should I do it before the next league game, or wait for some pickup? Also, the toecaps on my 3rd-hand goalie skates are pressing down on my the tops of my 2nd toes. Can they be punched upwards?

Got a dangler before the game tonight, and it saved me. On another note, I need to learn how to shoot the puck better with the goalie stick.

I have a lie 5 BC10, and it is similar to my Harrow Pattern 10. Same lie. but the BC10 is 1/2 inch shorter and not quite as lofted. The toe curve starts at the same place. I thought the Harrow Pattern 10 was a P08 clone, but maybe I'm wrong.

If you use 2-piece, you could get that curve from Base Hockey.

It happens too much in tech. Could you use your reputation to be your own "plumber", or do you need your boss' company to line up the jobs? Are they install, initialization, and set-to-work type jobs?

I read that Lundquist uses cotton gloves for sweat management. I was thinking that they would be much thinner than batting gloves to give him better feel, though. I'm a beginning goalie, so I think I should n't be worrying about feel. Also, after all that effort cleaning out the 2nd-hand trapper, I want to keep the sweat off it. The batting glove gives me better grip and fills the voids in the trapper fingers. Besides Lundquist, do any other goalies use the inside gloves? Can't wait to try this out on the ice!

It is for snugness, grip, and to keep sweat away from the leather. I used to wear a glove inside my baseball glove, so it's what I'm used to.I imagine that it might hinder puck handling and passing. I won't be sticking my index finger out, though.

For us beginning goalies; is it OK to have a batting glove in the trapper, like with a baseball mitt?

Do them at the beginning of warmups, after stretching in the dressing room? A few reps per game, and eventually you'll get to Malcolm Gladwell's 10,000 reps! That's what I'm telling myself, anyways.

Do you have an accessory navicular bone? If so, you could cut a 3-inch / 7 cm foam doughnut, and that might distribute the pressure.
