Kunitz in his first game as a Penguin had 1g1a. Jonny Toews got a hatty on the mentioned Hard Hat night. His first 3rd goal was disallowed which still prompted some ppl to throw their hats, while the 2nd one was a tidal wave of hard hats. Didn't Ryan Malone get a hattrick against Isles on ski cap/beanie night?

Chatted briefly with the Ol 2-9er today at Pens practice. Letang is out 2-3weeks. Orpik needed stitches to close a cut during practice and didn't return. He looked fine later on in streetclothes. Bourque crashed into the boards pretty good, he was fine but is probably sore as hell right now.

Stanley Cup Champs D Core: Gonchar/Orpik/GoGo/Eaton/Letang/Gill/Scuderi they're all injured... Can't wait to see how Skoula who has the most NHL games under his belt (pending gonch's return) does with all the young buckaroos on D tonight.

I didn't go to the doc and tried to ride it out. I ended up with a sinus infection that has drained into my lungs. Now I can't play hockey for 2-3 weeks til it all clears up. :(

Been hit three times in 4 games wearing the mask. Didn't really hurt at all, my ears did ring though for about a minute or so. Plus I play in beginner's league 5v5 league, nobody really has a shot that's going to hurt me. Sorry mate - didn't mean to offend, just a knee-jerk reflex on my part. But seriously, for safety's sake - catch anything you can that's coming at your face, and be EXTREMELY careful with bad-angle shots, even if they're weak. Taking one in the side of the head could be very bad. Nah, you didn't offend me. Trust me, if I was playing in another league, I'd use my friends mask which he used in D1. 2 times I've pulled a Lundqvist and made the save with the top of the mask, the other was a screen shot that rattled the cobwebs.

What about whaler jerseys? Ive seen a few at Pens games. But I agree with you So people can only be fans of the two teams playing and not of the sport of hockey as a whole? I've been to a lot of games when my favorite team wasn't playing because I love the sport. Yea, I have no problem with it. When I went to the Wings/Capitals game a couple weeks ago and there was a couple next to us who was in town and decided to go to the game, they knew nothing about the Wings or Caps but jumped out of his seat and cheered when the wings scored! I've been to many a game that didn't involve my two fave teams (Pens/Thrash), but I didn't wear a Thrashers or Penguins jersey to those games. I have a problem with ppl who come to games and wear a jersey (whalers/nords/jets okay by me) who's team is not playing the game.

I hate it when fans decide to wear jerseys that have nothing to do with the teams that are playing that night's game. For example if the game is a Thrashers-Capitals outing, I shouldn't have to see Modano, Gomez, or any other teams' jersey in the stadium. However if they have a Knuble Flyers jersey, or a Antropov leafs jersey it is somewhat acceptable. But still go out and buy a new jersey.

Don't shower the goalie, intentionally, with ice when stopping. Don't hack at the goalies glove when it's NEAR the puck on the ice or when they have it covered up. Don't shoot at the goalies head.

It's absolutely douchebaggery, and for the most part ragging the puck in you own end is pathetic and breaking an unwritten rule, you just need to throw an intense fore-check at them. The biggest offense is turning away from a breakaway. There is a difference between not running up the score and rubbing it in. That would be considered douchebaggery at its finest. Have they ever heard of just dumping it in and sending one forechecker and drop four back in D? That's what we usually end up doing if we ever get up by that much or try to get the ppl who don't score a lot of goals some chances at shots on net. As for the breakaway he should have skated it in and shot at the goalies chest or "missed the net" if they didn't want to look like douchebags.

Those goals look as wide as the NHL/International goals but about a foot shorter in height.

Farhan, yeah I'm pretty sure they do have PK Subban. After watching him during the WJC this year he seemed like he was going to make the team. He might however be still in juniors though...

They were the old MIA gloves. I don't think they were the new Warrior carbon ones. Up in Duluth Ice Forum they have some Havelid, Enstrom, Perrin, White sticks for sale on Sunday when I had a game up there. I'm guessing they brought those sticks down with them to the equipment sale. I'm with you Shoeshine Boy, I wasn't expecting to find a Kovy stick, let alone see ~25 sticks with Kovy's name on it at the sale.

Indeed. I will definitely be using the 10k Kovy stick. It's around a 80-85 flex rating which is on the high end for me. It's also the same curves as his Warrior sticks as well. My guess RBK made him some sticks to try out and he didn't like the feel, weight, etc. 10k's are pretty damn light. I might sell some of my extra edge socks and possibly the Hnidy MIA gloves.

I wish. The prices went up this season. :( Kovy sticks were expensive. They had at least 20-30 of them, some new, some used, some cracked. Last year they only had 3-5 Kovy sticks.

More than I probably should have spent. :(

Just got back from the Thrashers Equip Sale: 2 Kovy Sticks, 1 Peverley, and a Ondrej Pavelec Goal stick. 1 MIA Hnidy gloves and 3 pair blue socks and 1 pr white XL.
