After reading some things I found about si-core and synthesis blades once I figured out the search Im worried about the duribilty of the Sakic synthesis blade I was going to buy tonight. I ran another search and found that the Nash curve is a Sakic clone...? So I'm considering an R-2 blade. I couldn't find anything about this blade, maybe I didn't use the right words, but I would like to know if these are more durable than the synthesis and sicore blades.

The nash is a sakic clone isn't it? I've read in other posts that it is...

The new generation Synthesis blades are much better. I've have no probs with mine and had heaps of problems with the older generations. The new generation blades have the name of the curve eg sakic on the part of the hosel that goes into the shaft, so you can't see it when is inserted. :D

I used and Iggy Synthesis with no problems for about 2 months and then the infamous heel crack. I guess I beat the curve with my duration of use. Great blade great curve, however just not worth the cash imho

Didn't want to start a new topic so I'll ask here: Which is a better feeling blade the XV or the R2. Curve doesn't matter b/c hossa is a tkachuck clone correct?

What would be some differences between the two?

more curve and less loft I believe. I'm not a big Sakic guy, so I don't look at them much. I know to me they are clones, but I don't pay enough attention to them to make that distinction. It's been posted a few times if you can find it.

Synthesis composite Modano = 140 g.

R2 composite Messier = 129 g.

Neither had tape or glue.

I've don't know of any blade that is lighter than the composite R2.

Because there is no inno sakic clone...I think. I now have to decide which to get, the R-2 or the Synthesis. Which do you think would be the better blade?

I think I'm going to add a poll, but if you have anything you would like to add to your vote I would like see it...Thanks

Can't say anything for the R-2, I have never used one. I do seem to be on of the few on this board that likes, and hasn't had durabilty problems the Synthesis Si-Core blades. I have had two since X-mas, first one is still going strong, while the other seems to be in OK condition. The feel is better then that of the regular Synthesis, not quite wood-like, but an improvement.

i played half a year with the R2 blade...

it's okay!

Really? I broke 2 within 2 or 3 games each and the other guy on my team never got one of his 3 to last more than 3 games.

i have the synthesis blade in my M-1...granite it is just a Junior blade, but I love the feel of it. there has been no cracks or anything in the 7 or so games I have used it. i got it from a friend and i do not know how many times he used it before me, but it still is going strong to me. i added a piece of electrical tape along the bottom of the blade, and i love the feel of it. i have a tough time whether to choose my Mission Team Comp with a v20 blade which I love, and this. so i would have to choose the Synthesis

Are you serious? Mine has lasted for over 2 months now and is still stiff as hell, and it has big chip on the bottom and some tiny ones as well...I really like it
