QUESTION: Bauer Flexes

Recommended Posts

First of all, I have looked at the flex chart. I am planning on buying the Vapor XV shaft and the LHS doesn't have any left in the 87 Regular flex. However, they do have plenty in the 102 Stiff flex. How do these flexes compare to the Easton rating?

102 Bauer = 100 Easton.

87 = 85

77 = 75

52 = 50

I think he know's they're comparable, but easton is really inconsistant with thier flexes, so it might be hard to tell you, depending what stick you're coming off of.

What I was trying to say was that I was looking for an 87 but they didn't have it but they do have the 102. Is there that much of a difference because I am used to using a 100 Flex Easton.

i found the 102 flex a bit stiffer then easont 100 i found it to be about 105 on the easton scale

so would you say that bauers 87 and 102 flexes are slightly stiffer then their easton counterparts?

i'm interested in getting a vapor xx or xxx for next season, and am coming off using a 300 flex inno novius, and a 100 flex synergy grip shaft

We had a few XX's in 87 flex and they were every bit as stiff as a typical 100 flex.

didn't want to start a new topic, since this isn't terribly important, but how does a TPS regular compare? it says 95 in easton terms in the flex chart, but is it actually that stiff? i remember seeing some responses that were labeled regular but felt much flexier, something like an easton 85

I've used a dozen or so different TPS sticks and the R flex on the "regular" sticks is usually 95ish. The XN10 sticks seem to be a bit flexier, maybe 90-ish on average. Your mileage may vary.

just to make another note chadd. the stealth i find is also abit flexier than usual like a 100 is around a 95

Agreed, it's likely a product of the different shaft shape.

No better than a number of other sticks.
