its not a pro return helmet. bauer added that colour to there lineup this year same as the colour for hardvard and gold. Goalie Heaven is just yanking your chain. pro players get same helmets as everyone else does. just some change the padding on them but other than that there all the same helmets

Changing around the foam/padding and stuff wouldn't make it certified would it?I don't think having custom mods to a helmet would make it "better".

Yeah changing the foams would probably invalidate its HECC or CSA rating. Most pros like the thin foam. Not as good for protection, but doesn't make the head look so big with all that foam.

I'm not sure how many pros alter tha padding on the new helmets though. If you look, the foam looks pretty thick on them.

It's probally from the AHL, ECHL, or one of the college or major junior teams.

But there's also earpieces and no team sticker... <_<

its not a pro helmet, its a 5000 SE because they first introduced the black gel padding on the inside when they made it anti-microbial. this is just a stock helmet. maybe ill post my itech hc95 with rangers stickers on ebay and call it a pro-return :P

I put number stickers made by Bauer on my helmet. It's no longer certified either. It's not hard to void the certification.
