I thought this would be a fun topic :)

Describe the nicest goal(s) you've ever scored in hockey (roller or ice, it doesn't matter).

Mine:

- I was messing around at a tennis court back in the mid-90's with a couple friends and one of my friends and myself were doing one on one stuff, and my other friend played goal. My one friend who was playing out took a wrist shot that went way up in the air as I was skating towards the net. As the puck was coming down, I reached up with my stick with one hand and knocked the puck down. As I was still in motion, with the same hand I deked the goaltender, one-handed and scored. It's kind of hard to explain, but it was crazy. I couldn't believe I pulled it off, and it was just something I tried on the fly. Crazy....

- I was playing in a roller game a couple years ago, and as I was coming down the left wing with the puck, a guy on the other team was skating towards me. I flipped the puck over his head, jumped around him, and batted the puck out of mid-air, five-hole on the goaltender.

- Two weeks ago, playing ice I picked up a drop pass on the right side. I held on to the puck and at the last second I snapped an off-footed snap shot and picked the short side upper corner joint of the net. I literally had only the size of the puck to put that shot through and I nailed it. Yeehaw :)

My first hockey goal, back in squirts...on my butt, scored top shelf...in open hockey ive done the michigan, in one of my travel games last season for Bantam A, I had the puck behind the net, and shot it off the goalies back and scored...in roller hockey, happened first game of this season, i was skating and tried to get a centering pass, but it was too far out. i had to stretch all the way out and just stuck my stick out and scored for my hat trick goal on one of my friends :D

Last season I got slashed across the top of my visor, bashing it into my nose. Beat the goalie top shelf over the glove with my eyes closed. According to the other guys on the team it was a beauty.

On the PK I had the puck at the hash marks right on the boards from there I deked out 3 guys and drove to the net for a far side snap shot top corner goal.

I did a 360 around a defense to open up the zone and dropped my stick and puck between my legs then roofed it(Jagr move) taking off the goalies water bottle.

During hockey night in boston tryouts, I carried the puck from goal line to the red line after just using my speed to beat a couple guys. So I push the puck out in a toe drag style like all the way to the D man's skate. I pull it back in for the toe drag, push it out to my right (I'm right handed carrying it down the right side). So I put it under his stick, then between his legs before he turned. I'm at the top of the circle and I come in fake the deke/shot to the right in the slot, go backhand and put it over the goalie (who happened to be one of my friends.) I was super pumped because it put us ahead in the game.

These days an amazing goal consists of pucks that go in the net off of MY stick.

Back when I played High School there was one play where I did two spin-o-rama's followed by a deke to the backhand and a score top shelf.

Today ... well refer back to the original sentence.

Oh yeah, i did that before...in a house game, it was a chase to the puck, the goalie came out wayyyy to far, and i was closer to the puck, got the puck, deked out the goalie, went in with an open netter, i showed off by doing a jagr move, and shrugged my shoulders after scoring (we were down like 8-1 or something)

Puck squirts into the offensive zone. Goalie sprints out of the the net to try to beat me to it but it slides right under him as he dives head first for it.

I'm coming in full speed & can't stop in time so i jump over him, catch up to the puck about 8 feet to the right of the goal just before it reaches the goal line and throw a prayer of a wrister at the net that hits the crossbar then the far post & goes in.

In the grand scheme of things, not really that great a goal, but for me....a bit of a highlght.

I was high slot, and the puck was cleared from behind the net by the D-man...about waist high (maybe a bit higher) I knocked it down with the blade of my stick, and quick wristed it in. I'm not even sure if the Goalie had turned back into position yet. A few of the guys that are pretty good hockey players were impressed, so that was cool.

I'll try really hard tomorrow night and post something Thursday.

My best goal was last year. We were breakin out and one of my linemates picked off a pass and was coming down the slot while I was one the goal line almost in the corner. He passed it to me and I never had much time so I just fired a one-timer on net (broke my xn10 in the process) and to my surprise it slipped in over the goalies shoulder somehow. I was really surprised being on such a sharp angle. It was officially my best game of the year cause I also scored 4 goals that game. :)

Mine would have to be in the regions championship game 2 years ago. It was a really intense game, like 4 kids got hurt and had to be carried off the ice, so we were down by one with like 5 minutes left and the puck was in our zone and I picked it up at the bottom of the circle, split the D and had wide open breakaway so I just brought it in and did a little deke to the backhand and put it past the goalie. Nothin fancy but iit got our team pumped up and we ended up winning.

I think my favorite goal(s) i scored would be this year. My first goal i was at the point i moved in over the blueline a bit and boomed it right over the goalies shoulder. My second one was on a dump in, guys were clear of the zone, i fired it in and it went in. Also a goal in the middle school league i was at the hash marks near the boards, i wound up and took a slap shot i had like an inch of room over the goalies shoulder who was tight to the net and i put it right up there.

A few of my more memorible goals. one last year in the bronze medal game in overtime guy shot it a crashed the net and batted it over the goalie. and another one, from this year my linemate feathered a pass over the d-man's stick to me and i sniped it low just over the goalies pad. my first goal of this season. i tipped a shot in from the point. i know it doens sound like much but i felt like shit it was three day after i got my wisdom teeth out and it was my first goal of the year.

In a game last year I needed a line change real bad so I dumped the puck and went to the bench. A guy on the other team picks it up in his end, fumbles it, and somehow puts it into his own goal. So I was credited with a goal that happend while I was on the bench.

A couple more -

-I was playing pick-up a couple weeks ago, and I came down the left wing with the puck, and cut to my right. I cut sharply and the d-man (who was a pretty damn good canadian guy) stayed with me. I tripped over his outstretched leg and as I was falling got the shot off - a fast, on the ice shot which beat the goaltender lower left corner. When it went in, the d-man looks at me, shakes his head and says "You gotta be f-cking kidding me" with a laugh :).

-Playing pick-up in March, I came right down the middle on their two defensemen. With one hand on my stick I put the puck between them, and jumped to my right, using my left arm to fend one of them off. I caught up with the puck right in time and slipped it in on the ice right between the goal post and the goaltender's leg.

I remember once when I was a squirt we were playing some scrimmage against a bunch of beginners, and I can just remember being at our goal line and just turning around and shooting and watching it slowly go in the other end lol.

puck was in the left corner, and my linemate went for it with a D man on his ass. I called for him to centre the puck, and he just does a 180 move without looking. sends the puck right onto my backhand, and i one timed it... really let it fly, left side, top corner with the goalie really hugging the post. Just had that little amount of space for the puck to sneak in. It was the tieing goal .... in the end we still got whipped pretty bad, but hey, no complaints from me!
