Yes Lightspeeds are a good choice and yes they can be put on Graf skates.

Good question...I have no idea? Thats a question for JR, oh and if anyone knows are there any skate brands that don't need to be redrilled for Lightspeeds to be put on? thanks.

I've had nothing but problems with lightspeeds:

Vapor XX:

a) First set of perf steel broke

B) new steel put in, but the screw is loose. I try to keep it tight myself, and end up screwing up my holder so they have to heat it up at my LHS to tighten it up at all for a quick fix.

Quest V-12:

c) Holder breaks after taking a shot in the plastic.

I'd stick with the cobras, because they have a nice forward pitch. Unless you can get the same pitch with mission's lighter holder, I would stay with cobras.

and perf. steel is subjected to more breaking and twisting because of the hollow spots in the steel, unlike regular blades

Personally I think the Pitch is the best holder and steel combo on the market.

Do you mind elaborating ? Is this strictly a performance thing ? I know the Pitches are adjustable as to pitch (duh) but that doesn't seem like something one would do more than once or twice, so it always seemed like a dubious feature to me. Any other reasons you like the Pitch ?

To be honest, I expected it to be a gimmick when I first heard about it. More than anything it allows more people to get into mission skates. If you like to be back on your heels or up on your toes, you can feel comfortable on the skates.

Personally, I use the neutral setting and never change it so the ability to change really doesn't make much difference to me as a player. They are rock solid and have not bent at all. I've also blocked hundreds of shots in them without a crack. I used to like my custom+ holder but I would never switch back to them after using my pitch's.

They also hold an edge quite well, something that matters quite a bit to me. I used to feel like I had to sharpen my Tuuks every couple skates. Now I can go for quite a while without needing to sharpen them. I still do them every 5 skates or so, just out of habit but I really don't need to do so.

Those do sound good but I havent had anyone really wear them and see how they like them! But if you say they work on grafs then I dont see why they wouldnt. I just need to find the right person to put them on for me. Do these need any different holes to be drilled in???

They match up to the holes from a custom+ exactly so they can be mounted on a graf. You will need to drill new holes on Grafs.

Don't the custom+ for TUUK match up to the cobras?

Personally, if you like the forward pitch, I would stay with the cobras. Although I'm betting the pitch holder is lighter. In my opinion, you have to get in the nitty gritty before you can say either the cobra or pitch is better.
