healthy snack

im giong to a hockey camp and they say bring a healthy snack for in between ice activities and off ice activities , whats a good snack that would keep me energized for the activities?

A banana (has potassium to balance your electrolytes).

Peanut butter on whole wheat.

Those are SOOO good....They actually taste sweet, and I thought they were gonna be nasty :unsure:

same i thought they where gonna be the grosest thing ive ever tasted now that ive tryed them i love them.

how about energy bars? I'd go with bananas too, but I'd stay away from the dairy if you're going right back on the ice.

Maybe sliced apple with the caramel dip you get at the grocery store. I used to eat that all the time in between games.

Seriously...fruit. Maybe yogurt. 'nanas are good.

mmmmmmmm beer and wings, sounds good. Yea any fruit i think or whole wheat etc... multigrain bagels sound good aswell

water - good for hydration

grain - healthy

Wings:

Chicken - good for protein

you're gonna wanna stay away from any dairy products if you're having this snack in between sessions. dairy takes a while to breakdown and digest, so if you're playing within an hour or so, you're gonna feel like a bag of crap out there.

Nature Valley, I just love those bars. I also try to eat nuts, great source for protein.

Although not great energy sources, Triscuits and Wheat Thins are my idea of a healthy snack.

Fruit will definitely do the trick though.
