RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted September 18, 2005 Man that is sweet. How much did that one cost? Actually...the guy that did it...did his other one as well (I don't have a good picture of it). The guy has been doing tat's for years, but just opened his own shop...so that was kinda a "portfolio piece". It took 4.5 hours, but he only charged him $
beaucoup_fish 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2005 I've heard that a tat hurts as much as your own tolerance for pain. If you have a low threshold for pain, then I'd suggest maybe you save yourself the trouble of looking like a total weiner at the tat parlour and not get one. If you can stand a bit of hurt, then by all means, go for it. Post a pic, if you decide to get one! Good luck. On a side note - anyone ever heard of someone getting a tat on his dick? I think that's easily the most painful place to get it.

The design was a snake coiled around it. Pretty sick stuff if you ask me.

Fire0nIce228 1 Report post Posted April 13, 2006 I got this (these) at the beginning of march. Theres actually 4 stars, the last one you can't really see but its a little smaller than the third one and back a little more following the pattern. It took the guy forever, I was there like 2.5 hours + because skin on the stomach doesnt take ink as well or something because its stretchy and bouncy and whatnot. Anyways, this one hurt about 10x worse than the one on my shoulder blade, especially the top of the star thats getting up into my rib area. Anyways, even though it hurt like hell I don't regret it at all. Now i'm trying to come up with something to add to them. My artist has a few ideas but I can't come up with any on my own :(

cougarscaptain87 12 Report post Posted April 13, 2006 any one on here have a tat on their chest? i want a tat below my nipple like under my pec. just wondering how that one would do with pain. im assuming its gonna hurt becasue of my ribs....
Guest Muck Report post Posted April 13, 2006 Yeah, it'll sting a bit. The closer to the bone the worse. I've got a big one on my calf (almost covers the entire outside of my leg), and the closer it got to my shin the worse it stung. Pretty painful when the artist starts the tat, but you get used to it after a bit. I also put my daughter's name on my shoulder, see if any of you can decipher... Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted April 13, 2006 Ahh, it's Taylor isn't it?I'm STILL contemplating my design after a few years now. If anyone would mind helping, maybe toss up their own creation. I'd like to incorporate Hockey, possibly Canada, and a tad of Irish in it. I like the stick on a flag idea, but it's obviously been done and I like to be a little unique. I was working on a hockey puck with clovers on the outside rim and a Canadian flag in the middle, but it didn't come out too well. I've also altered the Gallagher shield, which is my last name, so it has clovers and hockey pucks around the outside. I took someone's advice and had it pinned up for about 1 year to make sure I liked it. I had to take it down when I redid my room.

flaming_june 2 Report post Posted April 13, 2006 it doesn't hurt that much.as a natual selection, survival advantage from our caveman days, when our pain receptors are stimulated in prolonged periods of time, some pathways are cut nd signals broken, thus you don't feel as much or at all (numb). so it will hurt a bit at first or always if its in a sensitive area like your back, but after a bit the pain's gone, you get used to it. when you start on a new area though, the pain will be there again.this one didn't hurt:this one did:
