a curve like coffey, recchi, iggy are the best all-around if you ask me..

Those are three very different curves and 90% of the people I see with coffey curves would improve their game by using any other blade.

Recchi is more of a toe curve than Iggy.

Modano/Fedorov. Anyone know what the lie on an Inno Fedorov is? I think I read 5. Trying to get a read b/c I'm thinking of going back to wood soon and will need to find a pattern with a similar lie...

I have both & they are the same. I know the Modo is listed at 5 & the Federov is listed as a 4.5, but they are almost exact. The very back of the heel is sligthly more rounded on the Inno.

Modano at the moment, but i dont mind a Sakic, tho...

I got a Lidstrom (Brown Pro) but this curve is just too big and too open for me... (= which is for sale here, heh.)

Used to use a Modano curve when I first started playing hockey in 2000. Bought a T-flex shaft and graphite Drury blade in 2001, didn't really like the curve at first. But after a few months of use, I have never gone back. I also use somewhat similar pro curves like an Inno Sundin and TPS P31 composite.

I was thinking about trying the jokinen a while back. Any thoughts?? Seems like a more mild drury type curve witha square toe. Reminded me some pictures of RP I saw.

i tried one a while back and i really like, i have been meaning to get one but havent had the time...its nice, it reminds me alot of the Schneider pro curve i used.

as for my curve, i use the old TPS messier, i am still using the TPS crossfire blades cause those are the only blades i can find with that curve, it's perfect for me, anyone have any old messier blades??? lol

Pro return - travis green

it's basically a more rockered sakic, and the blade tapers at the toe (gets a tiny bit shorter heightwise)

Previously a Modo fan and they are #1 in the shop for 4 years +. Sakic is always a close second at retail. I stopped with Modo a few years ago and use Lids all the time. I love a square toe to dig the biscuit out against the wall. The open toe blade is no problem: just turn your hand over on passes and shots! Finally, it is one of the few retail blades where the entire bottom of the blade scrubs the ice, instead of the rocker bottom blades which drive "old time hockey" guys like me nuts!

I was just looking at my Sakic and thinking about the old patterns..the Canadian 6001's, Northland's, Vic and Titan's that hugged the ground..I can't get used to the toe curve again though, most of the blades that have it are too long for me..ie. P106...

used the Modo for a long time and switched to a Sakic to get a little more loft at times..although I have a SW 7000 with a LeClair that I break out when the hands are spazzing out..

Unfortunately my P103 is no longer on the retail shelves..I thought of getting some of those made..

Our Modo's always outsold the other blades by a good margin...

If I can add retail patterns I would buy and use (seeing as how this is geared for what will sell more), I'd like to see more Morrows, Ribieros (on description at least) and the old Easton Thorntonelli pattern.

That is why I put "or clone" on the end of every name.

This isn't geared for what will sell more. Currently, the #1 brand in sticks is Easton and their patterns have become the industry's standard. I was just wondering what most people use.

Probably in the minority, but I'd go for pattern over stick. You give me everyone's comparable sticks and I'll go with what has the closest curve I prefer.

Mack, I agree with you. I am just saying that those are the standards and every company builds "their version" of it.
