#96 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 Yeah he's using the Tac wood. When I saw him using the wood ops it was awhile ago...his Washington/Boston days...that's almost 2 years ago now.
Louie 28 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 I was in the Pens locker room over the lockout and Mario had a ton of those with 110 Graphics, I believe he's using one similiar with 130 graphics this year.
#96 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 I'm pretty sure Mario uses an all wood painted to look OPS. The stick we are talking about is a fused wood blade into a graphite shaft.
dietzie27 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 it was in the pens ice time (program) that mario is trying out a v130
notorious#29 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2005 So this stick is a Vector shaft with a wood blade glued in then painted over? I'd like to try it out, but I don't want to have a useless stick once the blade breaks.
hockeydude_49 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2005 Wouldn't you be able to just cut it at the fuse point like anyother ops?

I'd like to try it out, but I don't want to have a useless stick once the blade breaks. yeah seems kinda like a waste since wood blades have a much shorter life than graphite, but if you can pull the blade out then its not so bad. i bought mine for $60, and considering that 3030s are about $40 after tax, i dont feel like i threw away that much money on a stick that wasnt made to last. Stampede 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2005 Nylander was using a Stealth against the Canadians on Monday night...I noticed cos the commentator laughed at how weak one of his wrist shots were... So it's not the stick? you mean it's really the player who shoots the puck???? I'm confused I thought the stick was all you needed to be able to shoot well?
