Hockey Music

Recommended Posts

I know it was discussed on the "other board" but just wondering what tunes or bands you guy's listen to before going on the ice. I am trying to make a CD for myself for the upcoming season and want to get some good stuff on there.

Rage Against the Machine is my favorite for getting pumped. Any metal, personal favorites being In Flames, God Forbid, Killswitch Engage, Soilwork, Superjoint Ritual, Damageplan, Devil Driver, Amon Amarath, etc (I could go on for a while). Any of these will work.

If you like punk then just pick anything fast. Really though it comes down to anything that gets your adrenaline pumping.

Every once and a while I like to calm down before a game and will throw in some classical, like Tchaikovsky, Yo Yo Ma, or Edgar Meyer.

Rob Zombie=Dracula

(personally Vendetta red-shatterday)

if these don't pump you up i dont know what can

o and phillyfan, try Raffi, he's just as intense as the zambonis before a game.

the rob zombie song is actualy called "Dragula". Not to be ignorant or anything, I just thought he would find the song easier with the real name. Most people think its Dracula but I have the cd and its Dragula.

The White Stripes- 7 Nation Army. Very motivating.

When I was playing up in Tri Cities this year, I swear I heard that song coming out of the American's dressing room at least four times in two days.

If you want a REALLY good techno song pick up Smack My Bitch Up by Prodigy. I could listen to that for hours. Great song.

Ya,my team always puts that song on right before we go on the ice. Or sometimes we will play Final Countdown instead.

I prefer the Bad Boy/G-unit version of the rocky theme. Has the beat in the backround, and that song gets me more pumped up then anything.

I knew I missed a few. Hoobastank, crawling in th dark, is a great song, to bad its only 2 min long. One more song to add to teh ever growing list is get loose by the salads ( its that song on the labat blue commercial). And for any of you looking for something fast check out some indie rock, it'll blow ur mind :o

I used to be all about really fast music, but I'd be too hyper, now just give me some metalcore (throwdown, the bled, the banner, the rise) and I'm happy.

Joe Satriani- Surfing With the Alien

Van Halen- Unchained (played at many NHL games)

Living Colour- Cult of Personality
