hurricane 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2005 I need to get new shoulder pads. Any op's on which are best? Bauer 8000, I love the 8000 series. So comfortable, light and Protective. But they cost about 100 bucks. And they make a light padded and a heavly padded versionThe defender or lightspeed, I got the lightspeed. I play in an adult no check leauge (Defense)

Edge 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2005 my two favorites are the Itech 660 and the Easton Synergys. I use the 660s and they fit just perfectly, very snug, and have great protection. Synergys i like because of the shoulder design. Both are very mobile also.

Synergys i like because of the shoulder design. Both are very mobile also. The 660 has been very popular here. I sold out and had to re-order twice. They are a fantastic pad for the money, protective and still mobile.

Deathmoves 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2005 Nike V-10 shoulder pads are good. There are light, mobile as "althoma1" said but i find the sholder pad too big. I tryed on my m8s synergry shoulder pads and they felt MUCH better! Not to sure about the spine protector they have on the back tho. But i am still tempted to get em. bekster 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2005 The synergy 900s are realy nice! Very mobile but a lot of protection. And the low shoulder cap design is great, you dont feel restricted at all!
beaucoup_fish 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2005 Sher-wood Tradition! Those are awesome. Of course, you might want something that will stand up to more abuse, but for the mobility and the "I'm so old school I'm wearing pads that are virtually non-existant and I'm gonna f@#! you up," intimidation factor, they can't be beat...unless of course, you have some old school Coopers. dustedvinyl 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2005 I'm a big fan of my Bauer 5000's. They were pro returns from a few years back. I play defense so they get a alot of abuse but have held up well and you can get them on the cheap.....
LetsGoWings13 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2005 I love my 8000 lightspeeds they are slightly bulky but it doesnt really bother me that much.
dangle16 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2005 I bought my CCM Tacks 1152 after breaking my collar bone a couple years back and i love them. Lets just say im not the biggest guy on the ice, so these shoulder pads really take some abuse and they are holding up great.

warrior37 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2005 i have had my jofa 6700s since i was 14, played midget aa/aaa. high school and junior with them, about 3 years back took the hard plastic caps off, right now i really have my eye on bauer classic sr's, bauer sp 60s, or the bauer 400s.....if youre looking for more protection id go with anything in the rbk/jofa series, really protective and fits well, the 8k looks a little bulky and theyre pricey
blues_91 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2005 I've been using Pro Tacks shoulder pads and they're pretty good. Enough protection but they are also pretty mobile and I don't find them bulky at all. You can't go wrong with Jofas or RBK though.
