It is different with different people the only way to tell is to try them both out.The Ultra Lite seems to have better durability, while the z-bubble has avery small amount of better performance. I would go with the ultra light

My 2003 Z-Bubble lasted me almost two years. It finally broke on a slapshot in exactly the place where I hit the shaft on the goal post a week earlier (so it was my fault). But then again, a teammate of mine was checked into the boards during his first game with his z-bubble and the shaft exploded into five (yes, five!) separate pieces. I think the old z's were more durable than the new ones.

Ahh, the old Corebeam debate. I'd take the UL for both feel and durability, but i'll take my M2 over both since it's longer and feels better.

Id take the ultralite anyday! I brought 3 z-bubble grips and they each broke at the taper

point, they suck. A complete waste of money.IMO

The regular Z-Bubbles don't suck. I've been using my original for 5yrs going on 6 in FEB. It's taken and delivered many slashes. However I do agree that the grip model sucked. I broke mine in 3 months. But the performance is way better than a UL .

The performance of the 2 shafts if great. yes the z-bubble's performance is slightly better but they lasted me 2 months for 3 of them. They cost more than the ultralite's and arnt worth the extra money.

Ive used both, the ultra lite is a tank its more for a player that goes up in the corner and digs up the puck with no mercy, and the z-bubble is more of a snipper type of person stick, the durability is not as good but ur gonna get better performance out of it, in all the ultra lite will last longer, but the z-bubble will give you more performance

I have never used a z-bubble, but for the price factor I would go with the UL. From what I've heard, the performance of the z-bubble is only marginablly better than the UL...not worth the extra $$ IMO.

I have used both many a time and would recommend the UL hands-down. I think the performance is the same but the Ultra Lite is a classic that is far more durable IMO.

Best shaft ever - next to the t-flex.

really liked mt z-bubble...the 2003 (the baby blue one) lasted me 1 year and a half broken on a nasty slashing from the other guys borke in half...

but seriously , the taper flex is maybe the thing that is the most solid because this is where you have 2-3 layer more than the wide boxy shaft...(i dont know if you get what i mean)

Also it depends on how hard you are with your stick...i don,t whant to start a debate but if a shaft lasted me 18 month (playing 3-4 time a week in a contact league(more rough)) and for some...3 shaft in 2 month...their may be a problem!!

IMO Z-BUBBLE...a bit ligther...love the look of the grip one..and grip is nice i would really like to try one!

Ultra Lite

Mine has lasted a season and a half now and it provides better balance than the Z-Bubble. Never used a Z-Bubble but my Ultra Lite has performed nearly as well as a OPS for me given a comparable blade. If you want a well balanced, reliable stick go with the Ultra Lite, if you want performance only Z-Bubble is the better option if you don't want to go tapered or OPS.

I would go with the ultra-lite. its proven and there is really no opposition on its durability and with a good blade such as the z-carb or a vapor X its a deadly combo. for me that is.

I wish I could vote for both.. they are great sticks.

I just played around with a zbubble/zcarbon combo the other night and I was impressed. I have played with an ultralite too and think that its one of the best sticks that Easton makes.

i had a z-bubble with a z-carbon blade and it broke in 3 places like 5 days after warrenty i hated the stick i couldnt find a feel for it...they are junk!......i now have an ultra lite grip and it is by far the best stick i havae ever used.... and when i put a z-carbon blade in there my shot was even better...ultra lites are cheaper and beter.IMO

Love the Z-Bubble!!! I find the Ultra Lite too stiff, even at the same flex.

same even my bro's jr ul (55 flex) is stiffer than my z bubble 75 .
