Boston/Vegas show recap

Recommended Posts

i found the show somewhat good based on the overall size of it, it was hard to find a couple booths like Brians was there I just couldnt find it and i walked all around it. MIA had a nice lil booth just down from eagle which made it easy. The bauer booth was nice especially that feature that retailers have of being able to go in and check there stock when bauers closed on weekends and able to order at that time also. Who went to that nike/bauer party friday in boston that was outta sight only thing bad was the chicken wings there(nasty), tried on the mission xp skate I believe that has only 2 eyelots uptop rather than 3, liked how that skate felt on my foot and hugged my heel, compared to the on90 that skate was initially more comfortable. Graf really suprised us with there protective line and there nylon glove and also seeing Katie Hill makes it easier also. Good time though Legal seafood was amazing

TPS:

R2 and R2XN10 are both gone and replaced by the R2 Armor, same goes for the OPS versions. They're now both made in China as are all composite products other than the Adrenaline and Adrenaline Control.

Chadd - Is the Armor a new type of material replacing XN10? Do you know an approximate price point of this shaft?

Thanks

Chadd - Is the R2 Armor kevlar based or their XN10 technology? Do you know an approximate price point of this shaft?

Thanks

From the catalog "TPS exclusive XN10 carbon construction reinforced with ARMOR graphite." I don't have a price list on me right now, I believe it's between the R2 and R2 XN10 prices from last year.

Thank you Chadd - side note, do you expect the 'finish' of the shafts/OPS to increase now that they are made in China?

I am referring to how the Intrigue's look 'nicer' than higher end shafts and OPS

I don't think it has much to do with where it is made but the graphics are improved. My concern is that the durability doesn't take a hit. I believe this is the same factory that is producing the Intrigue and XXXLite.

I saw those 2 guys on Sunday in the Vaughn showroom. Little did I know the plan of attack they had in mind! Thanks for the info Jason. I guess they are one of the 10% I mentioned.

I made them promise that as soon as we become big, they're saving me the time of packing up.

I just don't know if my grandchildren will be around to see it..... ;)

As long as you don't forget the "little guys" who helped put your name on the map! If I'm correct, didn't PH kick your rep out saying they were not interested in Salming? Hmmmm?

Hey, I stayed with buddies that I've been friends with for thirty years, so I'm a loyal guy!

That, and we don't even exist, as far as PH is concerned.... :D

Let's not forget the guy that prodded you to get your catalog up on MSH. (Emote disallowed for some reason)

Sounds great, are more catalogs going to be available soon?

No, we're going to stop right there. If we don't have a cat scanned, it just didn't exist.

What about the Salming catalogue? I thought Jason mentioned he had that one ready to be uploaded.

Chadd and JR both said they've had a tough time accessing it.

I have a link to an interim catalogue (a couple of the products are in art form, rather than photo), but they said it's not opening for them. However, the file is really big, so it's possible it's just taking a while to come up. It's one of those things where you need to click on the link, then go grab the cup of coffee. :D

Yeah, usually the closest big store does that...Behind the Mask has done that in Vegas for a few years now.  Makes sense..get their stuff early, and the mfgrs give them a deal so they don't have to haul the stuff back.

yeah unfortunately Easton and NBH wasn't at the vegas show for us there this year :(

edit: so the one90s were pretty impressive? hows the fit in comparison to Flexlite 12s?

I let it run all night with no luck and my cable modem isn't usually that slow.

MIA had a nice lil booth just down from eagle which made it easy.

Was MIA's booth almost the same as Eagle's but with an outlined stripe running down the middle? :D

Then I guess they should change the name to MIC.

I just spoke with Joe from Oggie Grip, who actually went to the Vegas show.

He said Al Iafrate put the Ergo Grips on some sticks (Black Beauties only?) at the shooting arcade in Boston, and that Iafrate told his reps the radar readings were up across the board for those sticks that had the grips.
