I know what you're saying Kosy, I read the instructions on the Airport Express and my eyes started to cross. It reads very complicated. Very un-Apple of them.

Has anyone used this? Is it as complicated as it sounds?

Complicated? You plug the Airport express into the wall, then you plug your modem (dsl or cable) into the airport express. If you would like to use it for audio also just plug a cable from the steroes aux out (or line out) into the airport express, its that simple.

It comes with software, just pop it in your mac and follow the amazingly simple onscreen instructions.

If you need help just PM me. I had it up and running in under 3 minutes, it is very simple.

Haven't taken the time to read the entire thread, but does anyone have any web sites for free downloads? I don't have an iPod, but my neice and nephew do so I told them I'd do some research. Thank you in advance.

Well ... I wanted to know, I got a new Ipod Video and installed it on my computer at home. But when I went to a friends house, and tried to add some music CD's he had on his computer onto my ipod a pop-up came out saying that if I decide to put the music in the ipod the other songs I allready have will erase and I will only have the songs on his computer. Is it possible to add CD's without deleting my previous stuff on another computer besides my own home computer?

Thanks

yeah, i'm too lazy to get my ipod to tell you exactly what to do but just plug your ipod into your computer and go to options and uncheck automatically add songs or whatever it is.

Will the Airport only work with Macs, or will it work with PC too?

Also thanks rogue.

Alright Ive been tryin go get my itunes library onto another computer. I dont want to install ipod agent. Instead I've been trying to follow these steps on the Apple Forum. (I dont have a username on there, its not workin for me)

So here is the link to the directions I tried to follow. http://discussions.apple.com/messageview.j...essageID=797432

It went smooth till the second to last step.

eject iPod from System tray "Safely Remove Hardware" icon. This icon looks like a small gray rectangle with a green arrow floating above it. It's only there when a removable device (like the iPod in this case) is attached to the computer. Right-click & select 'Safely remove..', then click 'Stop' in the next window, OK in the next window, and then Close to complete the ejection.

I cant find this icon or find out how to solve this step. I think it would have all went well if I could get around this step. Anyone know how to help me?

I'd only suggest Limewire (like the other person said) if they have good virus protection on their computer. I'd seen some gnarly spyware due to Limewire.

If they're into d/loading entire cds, without the hassle of looking for each & every track... they could check out torrent downloads. You just get a download client like BitTorrent, then surf torrent download websites for any cds you want.

anyone know why some songs wont go from my itunes to my ipod? for example, i have 3 songs from one artist on my itunes but only one of the songs go onto my ipod. it doesnt say "can not transfer to ipod because ect.." or anything either. plus, i noticed when i moved one of the songs into a new play list, that song would be in the play list but not under the artists play list.

This is a fairly common problem with a quick fix. The problem lies in your album titles. The songs that don't show up on your iPod when looking from the Artist grouping have no album title. This happens when you have an artist with various songs, but only one album title. For instance, let's say you have 5 songs by Saliva. Three of them all have the album title "Every Six Seconds" while the other two have no album title at all. If you search through artists, you will see that the two songs with no title will not show up, because once you open up Saliva through artists, it will automatically go into the Every Six Seconds album. HOWEVER, if you have multiple albums from a band in addition to songs with unlabeled albums, the unlabeled songs will go into a new category titled Unknown within the Artist's album breakdown on your iPod. Hope this helps.
