Anyone else having problems with iTunes lately? I'm getting a C:\ runtime error, and itunes won't start on my computer and my folks' computer (two completely unrelated machines that share nothing except for a wireless network every couple weeks). Any suggestions?

its a problem with your computer. Looks like something within the itunes library became corrupt. Try a reinstall of iTunes

Are you opening it from a shortcut? My brother was getting that message on his laptop, even a "iTunes has detected an audio error" or some bullcrap message. We went in and opened it from the folder itself and it works fine. PCs I guess.

This has to do with iTunes, so all of the Musicians out there, it's possible to get your Music on iTunes, I don't know if I'm allowed to say who on here, but PM me for my e-mail and I'll let you know how.

Every time I try to burn a CD using iTunes I get an error halfway through the burning process and it cancels it. I've made sure I'm making a music CD and not an MP3 or data CD, and it makes no difference. I'm getting an error #4450. Suggestions?

I've been having the same problem and not sure what's going on.

But on another note, i am trying to restore my iPod, but it won't restore. It says that "... iPod cannot be restored because some files are being used by other programs"

Any help? I need to get my iPod back to new like nothing on it etc.. fresh.

Alright, my problem has been solved i've installed the new iTunes, and restarted and everything is ok.

Kosy, i'll try a CD later, i think this should figure things out.

Ok, my sister and i both own ipod videos, the newest of them, both 30gb. Today i plugger her video in to charge it and itunes opens up with a message that says something along the lines of "Your ipod has recently been synched with music from another computer. You can either erase the music from your ipod and synch the music from your library, or transfer purchased files on your ipod into your library." Again, not exact but you get the point.

there are 3 tabs, the 1st saying "cancel" the 2nd saying "erase and synch" the 3rd saying something like "transfer purchased files"

I try not to screw up her ipod's music or our library and go with "cancel". I then look in our library, where there is nothing. We had around 8gigs of music, which took hours to rip (im sure youre all familiar with this). I then check her ipod's music and everything is there from our library, but nothing can be imported, played or even highlighted. I shortly told her what happened, and she says she hasnt even connected her ipod with another computer or other music in any way.

I have also tried putting my ipod on itunes, and while it doesnt say it has been synched with other files, there is still no music in our library. Is there any way of getting this music back? It is no tragedy, but i do enjoy listening to music on our computer sometimes. Thanks for reading, and any help is greatly appreciated.

You need to download a converter so you can convert avi to mpeg4.

BTW, are there any scripts to get the album names on Itunes, it would take me days to find all the album names, track numbers and so on?

I forget how off the top of my head but you can lump some together and change them at once if I remember correctly. I'm lazy though, so I made sure I was connected to the Internet and re-uploaded some.

Whenever I download a song that doesn't already have the album information and artwork attached to it, the first thing I do is make sure I get all that crap loaded into iTunes. I have a bit of what I call a "uniformity complex" (others call it a case of OCD) - everything has to be the same. If one song in iTunes has the album name listed and artwork displayed, they ALL have to have the album name and artwork. It all has to be correct and typed correctly, too; for some reason it makes me cringe when I am toying-around with a friend's iPod and they have the same artist/album listed seven different times because of changes in spacing, punctuation, capitalization, spelling, etc...

If you start making the changes as soon as the file is loaded, it'll make things more manageable and neater for you.

Do i have to download iTunes completely when i want to update it? When i open iTunes this Updater-Popup directs me to the iTunes d/l page on Apples site, but i cant download some update/patch, there is just a fullversion.

Yeah I started cleaning the whole thing up, I had Winamp before so I could not see the albums, but I am actually doing the whole thing now album by album.

Are there other ways to get the covers other then to get an Itunes account? Cause I guess they (Apple) charge you to get the album covers.

EDIT: Nevermind I just found the Fix Tunes Program and it works like a charm.

Do a Google Image search for the album (by name).

It would have took too much time to do so, with Fix Tunes it searches for everything including the correct name, artist, song number, album cover and it puts them all in your Itunes. There probably will be a couple of exceptions that I have to look for the cover but compared to finding 1000 covers without Fix Tunes and looking for about 10 with it, there is a huge difference. Yes, you have to pay for the program cause you only get a 50 song tryout, unless... ;)
