I wouldnt do it. New press release saying that new updates will most likely brick all unlocked iPhones because of the damage it causes the software to unlock it.

Yeah you have to re-lock your iPhone before doing the updates and then after everything is updates you unlock it again, but after doing that too many times you could do something major to your phone.

i'm having trouble getting songs from my friends computer to my ipod. It doens't let me drag them over to my ipod but is making me sync to his computer and therefor, deleteing my other songs. Help?

He must have his iTunes set to auto-sync, where it automatically updates an iPod when connected. You will have to change it to click and drag.

Another problem..I want to rip songs from my iPod to my computer. iPodRip isn't working along with Ephod. Also, when i go into my computer>My iPod> there are no songs there..Help?

I think you have to change the option to have the contents un-hidden, as opposed to hidden. If that doesnt work, I dont know what to tell you tho. Sorry.

You have to "enable disk mode" on your iPod settings...

BTW, are there any scripts to get the album names on Itunes, it would take me days to find all the album names, track numbers and so on?

if it's the whole album... highlight the whole album (must have artist/album already input), and go to advanced settings, and find "get cd track names" and i'll populate. Same with the artwork.

Theres a lock on the wi-fi itself, not your ipod.

Uh, you need to know the password that you've (or whomever owns the internet that your trying to connect to). There is no magic answer.

not unless you are near a free Wifi hotspot.

try using it at Starbucks or your local library and choose an open network, i.e. on without a lock symbol unless you have administrative rights. One more thing read your manual...it clearly explains all of this

I bought a 2nd generation iPod shuffle a couple days ago for $5 and a chrager off ebay for $3.99. But if I went to futureshop, or best buy the charger would cost me $29.99 what a ripoff!!

there should be a box that pops up asking if u want to do so, unless you clicked the "do not show this again" checkbox.

Id trying searching through the menus to find it if that is the case.

Clearly I can see this is the ipod/itunes thread. But i've got a question about the Zune Marketplace I was hoping somebody could help me out with.

I really like th $14.95 all you can download option, but is there a way to convert these DRM protected songs to standard .mp3 format so I can put them on my ipod?

Are these programs safe? free from spyware, malware, etc..ware and viruses?

Haven't tried it myself and it may be different, but friends have ripped the iTunes DRM songs onto a CD then re-uploaded them to the computer and they're totally stripped.

Need major help...

I go to upload songs from my ipod onto my computer..but when I go to transfer the F## file..once I get to F03 it says-- cannot copt xkit: the parameter is incorrect---any help?

Updated to the newest software for the ipod....Itunes says music is on ipod, but when I go in to select music on the ipod itself it says it is blank, says there are no artists/albums/songs on it. I restored it to factory settings, un syncd it, resyncd it, same thing. Any ideas?
