Patrick67 1 Report post Posted June 9, 2006 Well I use standard shafts precisely 51' in lenght. What would be the best performing standard shaft these day's?AK27(100flex) with 3' wood-plug.Mission Ion shaft (100flex) with wood-plug.CCM V8.0 shaft (stiff flex) cut down to 51' (no wood-plug)Have played with the Redlight XN10 & Easton Z-bubbles, and they break like toothpicks, so they are not an option.None of the LHS carry taper-blades, so please no Taper shaft suggestions. (I have a XV in my basement btw)Thanks in advance for any suggestions. :)

(I have a XV in my basement btw)Thanks in advance for any suggestions. :) It all depends on what flex you prefer. The only reason I wont buy a vector (whcih pisses me off) is ill have to cut like 7 inches off mine for it to be the right height (which kills the flex). Do you want a stiff as hell stick or a slightly whippy stick?

Patrick67 1 Report post Posted June 10, 2006 Kovalchuk, abstract from the flex. Performance/durability etc everything but flex and grip ;)

Chadd 916 Report post Posted October 11, 2006 When the shaft "opens up" when you shoot No, it's when the shaft twists. There is nothing on the shaft to "open".
