What do you think? I think the team has a right to ask him not to put a convicted rapist on his mask, as it (his mask) is a piece of the Equipment that represents the team.

But...

Earlier in the year he came to practice with his hair bleached blonde. Someone (I don't know if it was Teammate or Management) asked him to go back to black. That, I don't agree with. How is Ray's hair any differnet from McCabe and the blue mohawk...or McCarty's long "chin pubes" (as he calls them).

Are they just out to bottle up a free spirit?

I think they have a pretty good case against him.  A better case then mandating visors in the whole NHL IMO, and I know I'll get killed for that comment

For the mask or the hair??? I get the mask decision...It's the hair that surprises me.

I think the team is within their rights to refuse to let him wear it, but I think they went about it the right way in this case. Having a conversation and stating their views is entirely reasonable.

As for the hair thing, never heard of it and I would be surprised if it wasn;t a teammate just giving him som "advice"

What are you talking about "should" be a crime. It IS a crime.

I actually know a guy who socked Kid Rock with a pretty good haymaker many years back when he was touring the bars. The siss was running off at the mouth all night and then wouldn't even fight back!

Actually, I am from New England. I meant this as a compliment to Boston. Emery had an aweful night. Boston was the better team. They've had the Senators number this year.

Not sure Emery's maverick style is good for Ottawa right now.

Actually, the team has every right to tell him to change his hair, his mask, or any other part of his appearance. Since he is representing the organization, the organization has the right to specify a dress code and code of conduct.

I understand what you mean but Emery wasn't told to get rid of it, he volunteed to do that himself. I do think it's a bit weird getting annoyed about a pic of Tyson though. Like you said, it's not like it's a picture of him raping anyone. I thought it looked like a pretty cool design.
