Hockeyman9621 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 This summer I'm not playing rep roller, so just house. I had 3 goals and 3 assists in a 13-8 loss. (3 goals max. allowed) To explain the 13 we have the worst goalie EVER!!! They honestly got 16 shots and he didn't cover the puck once, he stopped one breakaway very luckily--the guy came down on a breakaway and went 5-hole the puck hit both of his pads and dropped between his legs, he put it behind the net their player picked it up and scored. <_< And now tomorrow were playing my friend who guarenteed that he will score from center. This should be fun.......... Man I'm pissed
dgaronzik 1 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 just had my last 2 regular season games tonight, had 3 goals and an assist in the first and 2 goals and an assist in the second. Finished scoring a goal in every game this season.the only thing that mattered tonight was my assist in the second game, it was last assist in a 5 goal run to tie the game 5-5 with a minute left. I split the D and hit my buddy streaking in for a breakaway and he buried it.
Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 Burried another trick last night, wasn't a highlight reel night, but I put in another 4 assists as well. This whole playing center thing is awesome. I haven't played forward in around 10 years.
#94 3 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 Were you like top-end AAA caliber playing against like HL kids or somthing? It was middle school "a" division, which is the top division around here (NJ).I had a mens league game last nite, (I'm 17), and we played the hockey director's team who is staked. I was suprised I could actually, play, it's been awile. Anyway, I had 7g, 3a. This is no slouch league either. Couple guys were actually drafted back in the day...ok, im done bragging. Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted May 21, 2004 added 2 goals and 2 assists last night as my hat trick streak came to an end. I played D for most of the second half though. It was kind've a route as well so I spent alot of time on the PK or on the bench.
JR Boucicaut 3803 Report post Posted May 21, 2004 Got a puck in the mouth last night...and I scored a Gordie Howe hat-trick. Dropped my stick in the crease and when I was trying to get it, the drunk goalie started to wail on the back of my head...so I was like "screw the stick" and beat him and his boy down... Dan_The_Man_16 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2004 Nicley done JR. I hate when drunk people try and play hockey, it just ruins the game.
Kirsch 1 Report post Posted July 2, 2004 Just started the inline season tonight. I thought I was going to have a great game. I had atleast 6 solid scoring chances. All of which I didn't convert. One hit the exact corner of the net, one I put over the crossbar just above the goalies shoulder, one I put wide right and high by two inches on a breakaway, one the goalie pulled a pretty incredible toe save on a breakaway, and atleast two times I overskated the puck. It wasn't a good night. We lost 12-1. Ugh. So, thought I'd just post a follow up.Last night was the last game of the season, and I can say without a doubt that I really turned my preformance around. In the last two games of the season I had 8 goals and 1 assist. I missed three games ( 1 due to a damned strained hammy) so I only played in 8 games and ended up with 19 goals and 15 assists. I'm not trying to gloat, just trying to redeem myself from that awful game.

kosydar 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 Not enough people signed up to have an A B and C league, so we have teams of A and B players with a few C per team. Because my team got an A goalie, we only got one A D and two A forwards. The captain told me and the A D to not pass the puck. He might have been joking, but I took him as serious. Cavs019 710 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 I was having an awesome season this year before all the tendons in my wrist got ripped to shreds. Speaking of drunk goalies, the most ridiculous thing happened to me about two years ago, (I was 14) playing in a beer league tilt this clown asks me I wanted a beer, on the bench!!! I don't know about you seasoned beer league vets, but maybe i'm missing something. Is it possible to play hockey drunk?
kosydar 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 Usually for those guys, one beer has no effect on them.
Cavs019 710 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 What about 3-6 over the course of a game? Honestly these guys sipped them like it was water on the bench.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 I played in a 24 hour charity game and there was a Newfie on the other team that was stoned and drunk that was still a bitch to catch.
Kirsch 1 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 Yeah, we've got some guys in our league that play drunk almost every game. They are sponsored by a bar so they get pitchers of beer before/after every game. It was hilarious plaaying against them. Thankfully we won.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 I'm working on a bar sponsorship, we spend $100+ after every game on beer. Sometimes we eat, but it's usually just beer.
Fletch 219 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 My best season was 47 goals in 12 roller games....Last season I was playing roller in a "Bronze" league and had 27 goals and 10 assists in 6 games playing Defense. I then got a call from the hockey director telling me I had been kicked out of the league, and I would be getting a partial refund. The reason? I was making the games "not fun" for the other teams. I was only playing because a friend asked me to....they thought I was purposely rubbing it in the other teams' faces that I could score pretty much at will against them. Oh well....I can't stand roller anyway.
kosydar 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 This one guy on my team has been going to this bar after hockey twice a week for over ten years. Cool thing is they have a sandwich named after him. On a good night the guys will easily drop $300. Cool guys who work there. They just keep the pitchers coming.
