Best Stick wax

Recommended Posts

I've tried almost all of them and really like Mr. Zoggs. I placed an order about a year and a half ago for 15 and I haven't even gone through the first bar yet. I play 3-4 times a week and re-tape and wax my sticks every time.

Great stuff.

I use wax from a cheesy Jesus candle that my neighbor brought me from Mexico. Very soft wax, filled the house with black smoke when I first lit it. Gives the puck a little divine guidance.

It's not? What is it then? It looks like one

EDIT: I just called to confirm and she said it was the 1100

Its not dude. Its a repainted inno stick. Its like the sticks that Peranis gets, the famous maker ones. Just a shaft version.

Repainted Inno stick? So what is the inno stick that's been repainted? I didn't know Inno made tapered shafts other than the 1100.

EDIT: n/m, I see what you're saying.

By color.

Pink = Strawberry

Purple = Grape

Green = Melon

White = I don't know what it is. I think vanilla or coconut.

Be careful with your "flavor" selections...I left my hockey bag open to dry and my dog got into the pocket with my stick wax. When it was all said and done, there were tiny bits of wax all over the room! :o

No wonder she was quite for so long... :lol:

Later,

Chris

i use a plain white candle and it seems to last pretty long...

That's what I usually use, although mine only seem to last for one game and then I have to redo it.

Mr. Zogs Quick Humps Sex Wax available at beckersurf.com($1.00) is the best. Buy the variety for the coldest water temperature. If you apply the wax to the blade as you would a surfboard , a bumpy layer of wax builds-up and makes stick handlinh and shooting miraculous. I do not use the stuff to preserve tape because I do not use tape at all. I also do not use wooden blades.

Yes, directly on the composite blade. Apply in the same fashion as a surf board. gentle pressure back and forth along the length of the blade and then top to bottom. If you purchase the mr. zogs sex wax container and comb for $8.00, you can put better layers on the blade by putting grooves in the wax. Also, the comb has a side that can be used to scrape off the old wax before a fresh wax application. Having said that, I almost never scrape off the old wax and start from scratch. You will need to reapply wax between periods and you will go through the softest wax more quickly than the harder waxes. One bar of wax will still probably last an entire season, but $1 per bar, I just buy several and share.
