I dunno if i was screwed but when i ordered my 8090's from epuck to the UK i didnt know i had to pay £57 at the door when they arrived, roughly $100! Luckily i had the money but i was pissed off they didnt tell me about it becuase i had already paid £30 somthing for shipping already

If your in Canada, HG always charges an arm and a leg to ship. A $5 pro stock blade came to $30 something after shipping for me, needless to say i didnt end up buying it.

also i traded a hex shaft for a bauer xx on MSH and about two weeks after the trade the bauer xx breaks

Went into my lhs to buy skates and my parents said i had to pay half for them. I wanted to get xx's but they were 400 and i had 150 so i had to settle for the XIX went back to my lhs like a week later the entire vapor line except the XXX went down in price and the XX's were down to 300. Already used to XIX a few times so i couldnt return them.

so I order it, call them and they say okay USPS we'll ship it. It took me 8 weeks to get my shaft, i got nailed with $27 in duties and the whole shaft ended up costing me about $80cdn.

It sucks ordering from the states when you live in Canada :(

OK, let's try this, I was talked into by a swifty salesman to purchase $1000 of Flite skates and gloves. Not ONE, even ONE customer even picked one up to look at, nevermind make a purchase. Had to sell them all at way less than cost just to get rid of them.

by experience, never do transaction with USA when it is commercial, only if it is a PERSONAL transaction so they guys could mark it as a gift and lower the duty etc. Or make sure how much duties you will have to pay, I did some commercial transaction with USA but it was always like 10-20$ so no charges here.

I bought a Mission dangler back when they first came out. for like 50 bucks and left it in the garage untill I ran out of t-flex blades and my sister sold it at a garage sale for 85 cents. Never got to use it....

Well if we're comparing getting screwed, I think I got screwed when the holder on my new skates from hockeymonkey.com broke as in a hold in the holder) the first easy skate I had them out for, then when I called the waranty dept. they advised me to charge a second set to my CC so I would have something to skate on for a big road trip (I should have never listened to those bastards).

Then the supervisor gave me HELL for only doing something that his staff had told me to do (like seriously a week with them making my life miserable) and then when he got his CCM rep to look at it, they decided it was "NOT WARANTEABLE" or some crap leaving me stuck with 2 pairs of identical skates and I'm paying the CC company LOTSA LOTSA interest because I'm so poor I can't afford to pay the bill for the second set of skates. I'll let you guys know when I can save enough money up to get the CC people to stop gouging me 24% interest COMPOUNDED DAILY :( You can get all the details on this thread.
