Tournament team names

hey all,

I'm pretty sure there was a topic about this in the past - but after searching for ages with no luck i thought it was just best to create a new one - if anyone knows where that old topic was jus post it in here :)

Anyways, me and a few mates are looking to start a tournament team and were looking for a cheeky / cool / funny name that we could get cool shirts with.

Were pretty stuck for inspiration, so whats some of the best team names you guys have played under in the past

Love the funny hockey team names. A few that come to mind:

- The Angry Beavers

- The Red Army (The team had Russian jerseys and put "ov" at the end of every player name...for example Smithov, Jonesov, etc.)

- The Floating Pylons

- Sofakings (say it three times fast and you'll know what makes it funny)

also, any French team name when yelled really loudly. Acadie-Bathurst Titan. When you say it in French, it sounds like "A cka - deee Bat - hurst Tea-Ta" :) it's great, a buddy of mine spent a couple of years as their #1 goon.

And my bro's team, bunch of guys in their early to mid 20's, with the Thundercats insignia on their jersey, The Cougar Hunters.

We changed our team name to:

"Our Goalie Sucks"

It was in a 3-3 league where we played a game without a goalie and won 29-11 and then our goalie let in 14 goals in the finals.

I still want to see a team called The Laffs. Maybe with a fuscia maple leaf or something like that. And someone would have to send 1 to Domi after the way he cried to the Toronto papers last year to get a contract.

I took a true "beer league" team to a competitive tournament...big mistake, but we just wanted to go for "beer drinking", err...I mean to play to some hockey. I knew we were going to get slaughtered, so I gave our team a fitting name.

Team Name: Off in the Corner

A lot of teams were beating "Off in the corner" that weekend!

depending on how high stick/slash happy the league is, the Jedi Knights is usually appropriate. We've also had the Leftovers, the Monty Pylons, The Penetrators, F.O.G. (fat old guys), The El Cabongs, the Tequila's Gladiators and my personal favorite.......Those Guys

LOL how about "Their Last Game"

That way once you get into ellimination/playoffs, when they announce the games it will be "And next, The Beavers will be playing Their Last Game!!!!!"
