Perfect stick comparison

Recommended Posts

So I get the chance to compare 2 different sticks that are exact to each other.

The contestant:

Easton Stealth CNT - Zubov Pro Stock

Warrior Dolomite - Zubov Pro Stock

As you can see in the pictures, the sticks are exactly the same so this should be pretty interesting.

I flexed them both slightly and the Warrior does feel a little stiffer.

Both sticks have a very light grip coating to them.

I played around with a puck for a couple minutes in the kitchen and the feel of the puck is pretty similar.

I do not play again till Wednesday night. For this pickup game I plan to use each stick half of the time to get a better idea of how they compare.

Let me know if there is anything specific you want me to comment about.

I got 2 of these CNT's about a month back and love the stick. I was very interested in the Warrior as well so I couldn't pass this one up. The Warrior feels like it might be just a tad bit heavier. The only noticeable difference is tapering of the shaft as it approaches the blade. The Warrior goes in equally on both sides where the CNT angles in much more on the backside. I will try to get a good picture of it later in the day.

the retail CNT stealth i held felt bottom heavy . in retail i dont think theyre the same at all, and as for zubovs pro CNT stealth im prety sure the construction is more like the old stealths you can even see by the weave in the blade in that pic.

I have a federov starskie and a forsberg cnt stealth BOTH 85 flexes

my 2cents

WARRIOR starskie = more stiffer, better stick-handling, better passes, better wrister

EASTON stealth cnt = lighter & better slaphot

*I want to try the 75 flex warrior tho.. then compare it to CNT

I wasn't stating that as a bad thing, just something to consider seeing as the CNT is supposed to be the technology to end all technolgies.

MissConduct, are you saying that you can slap better with more flex? Cause I have always found that stiffer = can lean into the stick more = heavier slapshot. I could be very wrong with this, maybe I would have a better slapshot with a flexier stick.

Slapshots are the only thing I like 85 flex for. Wristers, snappers, and passing works much better with a 100 flex for me. Sounds contradictory, but I find that I don't have to load up a 100 as much as an 85 to get hard wristers off. But like everything else, I think it's PP.

whoops, I knew it looked wrong

actually, A-trac was a tape format.

so was Betamax. both superior formats from sony but didn't get the distribution that the common tape and VHS got.

also, what flex is good is totally dependant on shooting technique

That's a very simplified explanation of what happened. There were lawsuits, Sony's appetite for non-competition within the format, JVCs (the originator of the VHS format) allowance of competition within the VHS format, and Sony's inflated prices (still evident on anything Sony) all involved in the death of betamax. It is still around, just never took off because of all the things above.
