Any idea why these guys spray paint the bottom of their sticks? I've noticed a few guys doing that, I think Neil painted the bottom of his green 7k's black as well.

And drying paint with a blowtorch? Good thing Roy has a day job playing hockey...

Thats the arsenist child in him coming out. Maybe he missed a play, and now hes making the stick pay!

Can you imagine doing that infront of a team of 16 year olds. I would pay the money for the stick, just to see their faces!

i have talked to alot of people that do this and they said that when they torch the bottom of the stick that the bottom of the stick stiffings up more. i dont know thats just what they said

Cause some people have sponsorships with other companies, and using a stick from another company would cancel the sponsorship, i.e. Mats Sundin using Danny Alfredsson's Synergy when he's a TPS Endorser.

That's an awesome picture, though.
