The worst hockey video game ever

Here are screenshots of what must be the worst hockey game in video game history! Older systems might not be as fancy as today's, but at least they usually tried to make the games as realistic as possible considering the limited machines they were dealing with.

But this one must be a joke! It's a game called "World Champion Icehockey" for the Commodore 64, released in 1991. But the two screenshots make it look like anything but a hockey game: the title screen shows a player wearing football equipment, and the in-game picture shows players on a grey soccer field?!? Like WTF?!? :lol:

and look at the lines.. its 100% a soccer game...

Maybe they tried to pull a "EXTREME GRANDMA WALKER SOCCER" game, but opted for the larger market with hockey..

Its obvious that its a soccer game rehashed..

Does anyone remember Superstar Icehockey for the C64? I was addicted to that one and considering it´s even 4 years older than this crossdressing piece of junk it was also the first hockey that allowed you to trade and create players, send them to training camp or develop them individually. As well you could create your own team. Not bad in 1987 :D

Edit - I dont' have the C64, but I have just about every other generation of system hooked up at one location or another in my house and ready to play - Atari, Atari Flashback, NES, Super Nintendo, N64, Sega Genesis, PS One, and XBox 360.

man superstar hockey ruled...i broke many joysticks playing that screaming at the puter since my guy would sit and just be spinning when you get tripped - and if you got a penalty - you actually served the time yourself....
