Sean Avery had 15 goals in the NHL this year. How many did you have?

you arent sticing up for avery are you? :D hes a disgrace in the nhl IMO

although you do have a point he did make the show so...

haha chill bro...Avery imo is a disgrace to the league and hockey, and I was just ripping on him. TBH I don't even know much about his skating style because I try to avoid paying attention to him anymore. Thats great if he's your favorite player...it's just not the general opinion. I think there are enough discussions on him already around here so lets keep it to the video for now huh?

Avery shows people what the NHL is like, not one guy is a role model. He shows what the media doesn't see, and says it like it is. I'm sticking up for him too. I bet you never knew guys practiced hungover until you read that Maxim interview.

Two of my least favorite people in the sport...I'm not going to argue about Avery. IMO he gives the sport the name that hockey-haters want. And my opinion will not change about that.

How does he give it a bad name? Because of things hes said or alledged to have said? The guy plays balls out leaves it all on the ice. He knows his role and he plays it to a "T". The fact that people get so pissed off at his is hilarious in my opinion.

He plays goon hockey. Call me Euro but I believe hockey should be skill...stickhandling, speed, quick passing, shooting...not running guys just to get them pissed. Maybe I should be mad at the coaching staff for making him do that? Regardless, it doesn't belong in the game.

you maysil just take contact outta the entire game then. hockeys about offense and defense. you do what it takes to win, whether that be a skill game, or a grind game. it doesn't matter. i favor substance over style. crash and bang hockey is what i think the sports all about.

and as for avery, the guys got balls, and backs it up on the ice. i haven't seen him take a cheap shot in a game at someone, such as a spear of cross check to the face. the guy tells it as it is. i love him for it, same with roenick. the world would be boring if everyone was a goody-goody and told people what they wanted to hear. its what bores me to death when i hear guys like crosby do interviews.

at least crosby show something on ice;)and doesn't say that french are pussy.Think about all the great french player that played or still play in the league and you will see what Quebec bring to the games.

He can play as hard as he wants, but he's ignorant.

Bashing on people for being french and calling Georges Laraque a "monkey" -- that's not cool, and it reflects poorly on the sport.

I'm all about being outspoken and honest, even a bit brash, but bigotry and ignorance has no place in sports or life in general.

I think this has been posted before, but I still get a kick out of it. And I know Hordichuk isn't the most honorable player to grace the NHL.

As for the kids fight, I don't know whats funnier...the fighting or the skating.

I would have never guessed that in a league with 700+ young and rich males that any of them would ever be hungover for practice. Wow, Avery sure is letting us all in on some fantastic secrets (except you of course because you already knew) . :unsure:

The team that wins the cup every year are the ones with the most tough role players (who hapen to usually be Canadian).
