Glen Wesley's Day w/Cup

Recommended Posts

One word; class

On a somewhat related note, I think giving each person on the team a day with the cup is one of the best things in sports. To my knowledge, no other league does this, and even if they did, it wouldn't be the same as The Cup

Bravo.

Maybe a Canadian will bring to Cup to one of our bases so our soldier can see it.

You have an army?

Yup. We just don't bomb people to solve our problems so no one knows we exist.

As a matter of fact, on June 6, 1944, aka D-Day, the Canadians were the only armed forces to land on Normandy Beach where they were supposed to. Its a good thing they did because our guys were swept right into the worst areas of the fortified beach head. But lets not start a US/Canada thread here. This thread is to celebrate what Glen Wesley did with his time with the Cup.

unfortunately that isn't the type of press that makes it into the stories of the Cup..

Wesley is a great guy..completely in character in how he is as a person..

That's awesome. Very good idea from Wesley. Like said above, PLEASE don't start another US/Canada arguement, there have been enough of those.

I've been there as well - cousin of mine is a captain. We went to the base after his first tour of duty of Iraq...pretty neat with the helicopters flying in and stuff.

Vapor, they only have one soldier so thats another reason nobody knows Canada exists.
