ONE90 stick?

Recommended Posts

I heard a whopper of a story about this stick and Eric Lindros.

oh do tell.

I'm not sure Lemiwinks and Modo want that info to become public.

I did see someone from the Devils using one tonight.

Not sure if official weight has been mentioned yet, but at work we got the new dri-fit posters in, and they have mike richards and naslund in one90 gloves posing with the one90 stick. richards also has the xxxlites on. Pretty sweet posters, but anyway, if you look at the naslund pic, the one90 he's holding has a weight of 440 grams, and its in a proflex. the name box was blank, but i was under the impression that the one90 would be lighter then an SL? I am considering this could be just a demo of the stick used for the pics.

Here is complete and total speculation....

A common problem in advertising is getting the shots you need for a new product, especially when you are trying to co-ordinate with celebrity's schedules. If the actual new product wasn't available, what we used to do is "dummy" the product for the photo-shoot. In a case like this, paint a different stick with the new stick's colour scheme.

Like I said, it is pure speculation on my part, but it is certainly possible that, that is what has happened here.

When I saw the One90 it was labeled either 410 or 440g. I know thats a big gap, but those two numbers are stuck in my mind. Its definately very light and seemed balanced better than the XXX Lite. The stick I saw was a P92 87 Flex, but this was back in August so they might of changed the stick abit since then.

is 440 grams alot? I got my nikebauer vapor 1 for 60 bucks and its 535 grams...i thought that was alot.. wats the average composite weight

Less grams= a lighter stick

Top of the line OPS are in the 470g and below range.

Balance is more important than weight. While actual grams translate into actual weight the percieved weight is more dependant on balance. I remember hearing the orignal Xn10s were supposed to be a fair bit lighter than the ones that came out, but they couldn't get the balance right and it made the stick (which was actually light) feel fairly heavy.

Average weight of high end composites is roughly 420-450, with the new stealths at around 405. I remember when the vapor xx first came out at 445, and was the lightest one piece available, beating the original synergy by only 5 grams.

I hope that they don't start making sticks greatly under 400g(like 300g). As it is I don't like the really light sticks because most feel really blade heavy. Give me a 550g balanced stick over a 405g unbalanced one anyday of the week. It's not like i'm not strong enough to weild a stick that's 145g more!! I probably add close to 100g with my freaking tape job, not counting the tape on my blade.

is the stealth 395?

The old Stealth. The bumped the CNT's up 10 grams.

No, 15 grams ;) Not that it really makes a difference. I can't really tell a huge difference between two sticks that have a 40 gram difference, so it doesn't matter to me.

Just got a pro stock from ebay. Nameplate scratched out, PM9 curve, 458 grams, no plug, probably cut about 1". (estimating from their inscribed flex cut lines) Grip coating. Balance feels good. Funny thing about the balance - they actually have a line drawn on the shaft, where it balances 50/50. (just below the white Nike swoosh) Probably won't keep it, as it's too stiff for me.

So much for being lighter than an SL, hey?

I thought NBH wasn't marking weights on their sticks anymore? Maybe it's a prostock thing...

Sorry guys, it isn't marked on the stick - it's from my kitchen scale. The pattern, flex, and an extra "D" are indicated.
