JR Boucicaut

ONEGoal November 2007 tradeshow

Recommended Posts

Finally, Gouche's video man returned from his vacation and the One Goal interviews are starting to be posted. In 29Sports Hockey Report-Mission, JR interviews Geoff Sarjeant of Mission about their Fuel TI-Pro Stick and Intake Fusion helmet.

Trust me, both JR and I began sweating when Kerry said, "Jason, grab Yuri and JR and go interview the vendors in the back."

:o

Never heard JR's voice before, I must admit I always assumed a James Earl Jones boom.

I'd be interested to try out some new stuff, but all the exciting stuff seems to be over $100 for any single piece of equipment!

Looking at Fury's website, they're going the same way as Eagle and only going up to 14" on gloves. What gives? No love for the big bastards?

I haven't seen them yet...I'm nervous :(

I think the best ones was definitely the Stomp and Blackstone one. Hopefully it's the edited Blackstone one.

The one I saw from that link is you interviewing the guy from Mission about the TI-pro.

You came off as a little shifty and ill-prepared, like you were doing something you didn't really want to do or had little experience doing, to be honest (kinda like an internet guy put on TV). Out of your element I suppose :P

Don't worry though, you'll think it's horrible as soon as you see and hear yourself. Every time I hear my voice recorded I think "who the hell is the guy who sounds like a criminal Neanderthal?"

It takes some practice before you even feel remotely comfortable doing it.

Oh, no doubt. I would have wound up cracking the stick in half, given my run of faux pas when it comes to situations like that. Spilling a beer on the president of the university is just one of the more recent oopsie moments.

For sure...that was the first one. I'd like to think I got better as we went on.

Interesting stuff, and no offense to JR because he's the man, but I enjoyed the Fury Shooter Tutor vid the best, goddamn. I hope you all got to meet her

Just for the record, I had a better time than Shawn Burr on that toy.

I don't even want to know how many shots/how long it would take me to hit all 9 *L*

I took my time and used 10 or 11 in about 18 seconds. He rippped off about 20 shots in 23 seconds. I'm sure he could have killed me if he was actually trying. I was stuck using an intermediate stick that came up to my nipples though, so I had to pay a little more attention than usual.

Man, that shiny dome plus the blowout beard...mad sinister...

It's not easy to stand in front a camera and conduct an interview. I'd say you held your own....MSH's own PIO (Public Information Officer) B)

Not any new ones with JR yet, but I noticed they posted a good interview with Tory Webster, who invented the Thermablade.

Where the hell was I when you guys did this? I would've KILLED to do that one.

Homeboy probably would've stormed off and thrown a chair at the camera Geraldo-style.

The shiny dome is where it's at, dude! I've been buzzing for years, then I picked up a HeadBlade, and some HeadLube lotion.... I've been all about the "power-shine"

Fantastic job on the bit, man.
