LoXish 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 Yeah dude, unless you're selling the item, don't post it, some MSH'ers could be watching or bidding on those.

alostsok 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 At the risk of sounding dumb - what's bad about posting this? If there's someone looking for a pair in size 9, it's a great help. If it spoils the bid for someone else, they weren't the "fair market buyer" anyway, and they can be pissed off all they want. Although the are not my size, I appreciate the heads-up from a fellow member
EBondo 242 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 From the input of members here, the Wicked Light is the best skate ever made. It is very hard to come across a pair of the old version, and a lot of people look for them, with no luck. So coming across a pair for sale is very very rare. Posting the link on here gives the info to many others that may possibly want it, when the amount of people watching the item is very low.
DaveTheWave 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 Yes, best roller hockey skate made to date.
NuggyBuggy 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 I don't understand what the problem is here either. If someone bids on it because they saw the link on MSH, it almost certainly means they're a reader of the forum. If so, posting it here only increases the likelihood the auction will be won by *some* MSH reader who really wants it, which would seem to be a GOOD thing for the MSH community. alostsok 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 Ebondo,If you get outbid by someone from here, someone is willing to pay more for them. For one person who is mad because an auction he found is accessed by other MSH members, another person is happy because he found the same skates, and may have been looking for them harder (and is willing to pay more). The guy selling the things gets more money, and a guy who wants the skates gets 'em. Should people only post links to bad deals? The whole point of this thing is to share info. kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 You just dont understand thats all. Ive been looking for this skate for years, and someone posting this to 1) jack the price up and 2) giving me a huge opportunity of loosing it pisses me off. I have been looking FOREVER
Thockey17 1 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 If you didnt find it yourself, you werent interested in buying a pair bad enough.
jcp2 2 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 You just dont understand thats all. Ive been looking for this skate for years, and someone posting this to 1) jack the price up and 2) giving me a huge opportunity of loosing it pisses me off. I have been looking FOREVERPosting doesn't jack the price up. Bidding higher does. If you really, really want the skates, bid really high. It's eBay, not some podunk garage sale. Do you honestly think that other people who have been searching for this skate (not me) don't check eBay regularly as well? I wouldn't be surprised if either somebody already has a bid ready using Auction Sniper, or the buyer gets ripped off because the seller is new with no feedback. I get it that you might be pissed if you don't win the auction; I used to get pissed as well. Now I just set my bid at what I'm willing to pay for the skate, and accept the possibility that somebody else might be willing to pay more. It's not yours to lose until you actually BUY it. NuggyBuggy 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 If you didnt find it yourself, you werent interested in buying a pair bad enough. If that is true then maybe we should get the mods to just blanket ban all good deal threads. If you didn't find it, you couldn't have wanted it that bad, huh ?But I find it funny that kovalchuk posted on the FIRST PAGE of the good deal thread asking for others to post links to the good deals they found, but then complains when someone else posts a good deal that he happens to be interested in. Hmm.
LoXish 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 It's a matter of respect for other MSH members. In the very least, once it was obvious that the skate was being bid on by another member, the creator should have nuked the post.
alostsok 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 no it isn't. that doesn't make any sense.or if it a matter of respect, he was respectful to another member that got to bid on them. it's not like the first guy had money invested in the auction.it's a guy, on ebay, selling a pair of skates. a member of this board posts a link to let others know that these skates are out there. as a matter of respect, the person who posted the link should remove it, under the premise that another member can get a steal on these skates. give me a break. Hmm. Thats totally different, there is only one of this item. Where in the Good Deals thread they are links to websites that have bulk of the product, or an ebay link that is selling more then one of the item.People search eBay everyday including me. If they are truly looking for a pair of Wicked Lite skates per say, then they will search eBay and other places everyday for them, which im guessing Kovalchuk71 has done and already was watching these. Posting the link here generates more traffic, therefore there are more bidders and that draws the price up. I know there have been times an item I was watching was posted on here and immediately the price went up $50. For the sake of everyone it is better to not post up an eBay link, unless the person is selling alot of one item. Just my opinion.

Hockeypunk 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 If I didnt go about posting this nothing would change. The people that really care, want these skates look for them on ebay daily. So all you people complaining already probably had this in there watch catagorey on ebay just waiting for the last 30 seconds to attempt to bid snipe eachother. I have been looking for these skates for a while now but they werent my size. I thought I was doing a nice thing by pointing some poeple in the right direction. If it upsets you than you need to grow up. Its on ebay its not like some foresaken auction sight only open to certain people its EBAY if you want them then bid on them if not then shut up.
