ThePurpleCobra 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2006 Just like the topic says.. what will teams have to trade to get Deion Branch?
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted August 26, 2006 The pats probably aren't going to get much in return because of how he's leaving. I saw the same thing with Keenan McCardell here in tampa... Although we did decent in moving Keyshaw Johnson.
tjl_48 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2006 Probably not much. Besides that game in the super bowl he hasn't been that good. He isn't a great reciever.
ThePurpleCobra 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2006 Probably not much. Besides that game in the super bowl he hasn't been that good. He isn't a great reciever. He was hurt for most of last year so how can you say he's done bad after the super bowl? Doesn't make sense

Doesn't make sense he was never really a good receiver. i think the pats will trade him for a case of beer :D
ThePurpleCobra 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2006 packers fan? Just a guess
mack 44 Report post Posted August 27, 2006 He'll do better stat-wise on another team and the Patriots have a few WRs in his mold so they'll be okay. Hell, they've essentially used the same kinds of WRs since Bledsoe started out.
Cheesehead 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2006 packers fan? Just a guess dammit. good guess
NuggyBuggy 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 he was never really a good receiver. i think the pats will trade him for a case of beer :D They already offered him 18M+ for 3-years, so I don't think they're going to let him go for nothing. They hold the cards here, and the Pats organization is smart enough and respected enoug that this will not get out of hand.
Adam91 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2006 Rumours out of Seattle, Darrell Jackson might be available.(sp)Jackson is the better reciever though so the Pats would need to give something else up, maybe an o-lineman
mack 44 Report post Posted August 29, 2006 Branch can catch a ball, thus making him infinitely better than Jackson.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted August 29, 2006 Rumor is the Pats wanted two first round picks for him when the Eagles asked.
sc37 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2006 That's pretty nuts...and obviously the Eagles went elsewhere and got Stallworth.Idk how much the Pats will get for him...cause didn't Javon Walker get out of GB with only a 2nd rounder by Denver?
Allsmokenopancake 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2006 There was talk on the radio this morning (not sure if it was mike and mike or the fox sports show) that some dallas paper had reported that the cowboys may be interested in bringing him in. And they would cut TO on the last day before cuts, which would save them $5 mil in cap room, which would accomodate Branch.Obviously its a hypothetical, but how nice would it be to see TO get tossed out on his ass
LegoDoom 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2006 Rumor is the Pats wanted two first round picks for him when the Eagles asked. Giving up two first round picks and having to give him ~$6M a year extension? No wonder the Eagles passed. It's been rumored for the past two years that Jerry Porter would be traded to the Eagles. I think Oakland wanted too much for him too. Too bad Green Bay wouldn't trade Javon Walker to us for our 2nd (which the Eagles offered). Oh well... at least they drafted well with that pick. LegoDoom 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2006 Idk how much the Pats will get for him...cause didn't Javon Walker get out of GB with only a 2nd rounder by Denver? Yes, but Javon Walker was coming off a bad knee injury.
mack 44 Report post Posted August 29, 2006 Knock on wood, I hope that knee does keep holding up because damn does he look good in a Broncos uni.
