Quick Energy

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I have a game in about an hour and I didn't get much sleep last night,

Is there anything I could drink/take to give me energy?

I know energy drinks are crap for you so i'am not drinking them.

I read somewere that if you drink 2 cups of coffee 2 hours ahead of your one ice time it should give you some energy,

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. its 4:00 now and I play at 7:00

He might mean, that they're crap for your body?

But yeah, personally, i love drinking an energy drink before I play, it really gets me pumped, quickly too. The first time i had a redbull (i was very tired and i had a baseball game that night) was on the way to my baseball game, in the car, and i couldnt stop figgiting...It really got me pumped for that game and it worked very quickly.

I haven't tried monster yet. What would you say the best tasting energy drink is?

the problem with drinking an energy drink pregame is it brings you all the way up, then you crash down (usually bout midway through the game), so then you will need another one. In some cases, your adrenilline will make up for it though. You can always drink another, but the carbonation in most of the drinks and the high amounts of sugar make some people cramp. Take some bee pollen, that is always fun, oh yeah some speed will really get you going, rub some on your gums in the lockerroom.

You guys are lucky.. I tried drinking a monster before a game and I ended up throwing up all over the ice. Its the only time I have ever thrown up while playing.

I once had a Dunkin Donuts Coffee Coolatta before an indoor inline game. At first I had a bit of a sugar rush, but that soon turned into cramps. The goalie threatened my life if I would have yakked on the rink. It was fun.

(To be fair, I didn't know I was going to play. I had played my game already and was waiting/watching another game because I knew someone playing the game after the one I was watching. Turns out the other team didn't have enough guys and I suited up for them.)

that makes no sense, does it?
