Intake Cage

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I did a search and nothing came up.

I have just bought a Mission Intake helmet and wondered which cage would fit the best, I have and Itech 905 RBE III and it just dosen't seem to fit right.

Do you have any suggestions about which one is the best? I'm looking to stay around the $30-40 range and would preferably like black (NOT white) but the color is not the biggest thing.

Thanks

i use a bauer 8500 cage on my itech HC100 (very similar helmet). My friend uses the same cage on his intake. We both have Large helmets with Large cages. I paid $35 for my cage.

I have the Jofa 480 large cage on my Mission Intake meduim helmet. Seems to fit fine for me. I've had this cage on both large and medium helmets of most of the popular brands and it is very universal cage and very light.

I'll second the bauer 8000 suggestion. I've got that on my HC100 and really like it. When it's on the chin cup isn't pressed right against my chin. Also, I don't have to unsnap the cage when putting on/taking off my helmet. I find that very convenient.

edit: size Large helmet, size Large mask

I had no problems fitting the Jofa/CCM 480 on my Intake. Now I have an Itech Concept 2 DLX on it and did have problems getting it on there but only because I wasn't putting enough pressure on the screw.

before you buy another cage..... which way do you have your hangers set up? ( the plastic mounting brackets on the front of your forehead ). it makes a difference if you have them the wrong way. they must be hanging so that the screw is below the top wire. if you mount it like other mfgs have theirs set up it does not sit the way it should. that said.... if you must buy a new cage.. check out our Phantom cage... its Stainless and the shape of the cage is improved over past efforts. plus the chin cup is money!
