Fury of One 6 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 That's a cool idea and would solve a lot of debates on here. :P
Reaper 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Unfortunately, a lot of the gear descriptions are really general only listing the brand and not the model of a specific piece of equipment.I'm sure goalies will have little trouble deciphering the model numbers (there's simply fewer models of goalie gear as compared to skaters). DarkStar50 679 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 You have to remember a lot of the stock pads the players wear will be customized to their needs. It would be great to know which model elbow, shin, etc, but ultimately it would probably be different than retail in some small way.
analog999 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Kipper's hollow is sick. NHL goalie at 3/16"!! Yeah, one half of 3/8's. That is a ultra deep hollow. I'm shocked, as it is the opposite of what most goalies get. Maybe they made a mistake and meant 3/4.
DP_57 1 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 nope, nowadays, goalies get deeper hollows, because of their new style.

It's all about being able to grab the ice when you need to move.

JR Boucicaut 3789 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Most of my butterfly goalies are starting at 5/8". Deepest I've done (and I cringed) was 1/4". The 1" goalie hollow is passe.
jjtt99 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Cool feature. I wonder if the poster boys will reveal what's really under their uniform, or what they're wearing for the sponsor pics? I guess we'll see when Iggy opens his bag because he's a Nike posterboy but once after a fight I saw some Jofa under there.

DP_57 1 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Dion Phaneufs says his skates are sharpened before every game, do lots of pros do this? probably, once you get a hollow you like and use to, you like to get them sharpened pretty often. Like for me it is 1", so I get them sharpened before every game and sometimes pratice too.
