Boogaard vs Fedoruk

Recommended Posts

I loved how Fedoruk tried to give Boogaard a elbow and thats when he got jacked with the right. Fedoruk did not return to the game. Prolly broke his jaw. Boogaard has to be up their with the best fighers in the league.

Lol. The commentators were hilarious."Why would he want this?". Wouldn't surprise me if Fedoruk has to eat through a straw for a while.

that attempted elbow surprised me coming from fedoruk. he usually seems a lot classier no?

then again, boogard went knee on knee with someone else earlier in the game before o'brien went after him (and subsequently held on for dear life).

yea, from the video it looks like he could've broken his orbital bone. Not good.

You rarely see guys clutch their faces like that especially withou profuse bleeding.

seriously why would fedoruk do something like that

ya know, at first i was pretty shocked -- it definitely looks like he tries to elbow him -- but i'm wondering if maybe he was really just trying to cut back across cause he was tied up off-balance and bent over. i'm bad at describing things, but i think if you watch the video, i think you'll know what i mean.

also, in the second slow-mo replay, you can see that his elbow isn't really close at all to boogard's face. it doesn't look nearly as bad as it does in the first one...

then again, i'm a ducks fan and i like fedoruk, so i'm biased.

I heard that Tiger Williams or Dave Schultz or somebody like that was talking about how fighting in today's NHL is a lot more dangerous than back in their day because the players are so much bigger and stronger now. Before if you took a good shot you'd get a shiner or a bloody nose or lip. Now if you take a good shot its a broken orbital bone, cheek bone, or concussion.

Pretty sure Colton Orr got the best of Boogaard last year. Let me see if I can find a link.

Never mind. I was confusing him with Eric Godard

Everybody loses fights and Boogard is no exception. But he, Laraque and Mcgrattan in Ottawa are probably the guys no one wants to face right now.
