Its been a while since I have played with a woodie and I have never used a sherwood woodie so I thought I would pick one up for giggles. Went strait to the rink and fell in love. Its so much easier to catch passes and the feel is amazing..

Makes me really wonder why I even bother with expensive carbons..

I had the same type thing with a Sherwood 7000 about 3 weeks ago.

The only reason I'm back with composite is they don't lose their kick as fast.

I also picked up a Harrow V.3 drury clone and that has been the best feeling one piece I've used to date.

I wouldn't say horrendous but it's no Stealth.

The feel is awesome and the blades still nice and stiff after a month of use.

I like woods, too. But in a week when the blade has gone soft you'll remember why you switched to composites.

I have a couple old Louisville Tricore shafts that I use Sherwood wood blades in. Before I started using Stealth's they were my favorite stick/combo

Okay yglod11, I'm confused, in this thread you are implying the Harrow Sabre is a very poor shaft. Yet in the good deals thread you had this to say:

"the harrow tapered shaft bar none is the best tapered shaft ive ever used. synthesis, r2xn10, any tapered shaft, the v3 takes the cake. might be listed as heavy, but incredibly balacned"

What am I missing?

the one piece has terrible release (the sabre) i mean, and it is so blade heavy, the v3 regular sabre is unreal balance, even with a wood blade, and that kick is money. For some reason when they make a one piece, its junk, but their shafts are money. The original poster on the v3 said he bought a OPS which i have, and hate

I am going to agree.

I loved my harrow ops when I first got it, but it doesn't touch my other sticks in terms of performance. Sure it has good feel... but any stick that weighs +500g has good feel..
