No, Easton LED YOU TO BELIEVE that there was little support. And you BELIEVED them.

Yet everyone else in the business still uses essentially the same technology (one I-beam) and do just fine.

When it comes to sticks easton does a hell of a lot better than anyone.

You don't sell as many sticks as easton does because your sticks are better looking than the competition. If their sticks didn't perform year in and year out players wouldn't buy them at the rate they do.

I disagree. If someone breaks an Easton, oh you go buy a new one. If someone breaks some other brand, it's a piece of shit and they want their money back. People let them slide on durability all the time.

I don't see what you are getting at. Are you saying people replace easton sticks with easton sticks because of the way they look. IMO people don't stick with easton because of the way their sticks look but rather because they were happy with the way the stick performed. People are not going to stick with a company because they made 1 or 2 good sticks. You have to make a quality stick year after year to sell sticks at the rate easton does. Odviously I have a higher opinion of easton sticks than you do, we all know this is just my opinion and it's all pp.

Okay, obviously this one went way over your head.

Looks like I'm going to have to simplify it.

Look at TPS for example. What do you think of their sticks?

Remember when XN10 came out? Remember all of the sloppy graphics? Paint drips? Now compare that to an Easton. The sloppier sticks have less shelf appeal - if somebody came into a shop and did not know anything about hockey sticks and was told to pick one on a strictly aesthetic standpoint, the Easton would win every time, because it looks like a better-made product.

And they have the name too.. I have said this in a few other threads, but it still boggles me when I see kids run to the stickrack, grab any carbon stick and say "Oh Oh Oh! I want this synergy".

This is my vote for the best post of all time. I am putting it in my sig.

This is all crazy talk. However I just cut my finger and after I clean it up with a kleenex I'm going to put a band-aid on it and grab a coke out of the machine.

I was only addressing the second part of your post it should have read like this:

If their sticks didn't perform year in and year out players wouldn't buy them at the rate they do.

I disagree. If someone breaks an Easton, oh well you go buy a new one. If someone breaks some other brand, it's a piece of shit and they want their money back. People let them slide on durability all the time.

If TPS can only update their website. It's like 2 years old! Weird for a reputable company with excellent products. I do know that they underwent a restructuring last year, but c'mon now-- update the site!

Marketing is a wonderful thing.

Not related to the subject at all but i have to share. One of my friend was selling cellphones in some store and tried to sell longer garanties with them. He then came up with the name "Platinum protection plan" for the garanties and sold 6 times more than his co-workers who knew nothing about his technique. :o

Im sorry if this is forbidden here, but after trying damn near every mainstream one piece out minus vector 10s, my choice is still the Stealth CNT. Did I like the old stealth? Nope, but I gave the new CNT a shot and have been using them for months. I personally prefer as lively of a blade as I can get, and I like Easton sticks(yes i said it)

I like Easton sticks as well. But when lively=puck flying off my blade when I stickhandle, no thanks. When I run out of '05 Stealths to use, I'll be switching away from Easton unless they do go 'backwards'.

My Synergy 2 grip shaft has much less kick after about 10 uses compared to vector 130 proshaft I was using. I am a big Easton fan but there stuff is not nearly as durable nor consistent as other stick offerings out there

TPS makes great sticks. I understood what you were saying I just don't agree.
