I know it seems like a strange question...but here's the deal. I have a couple of the Heat Gear t-shirts (the ones that fit tight). I love them..beats the hell out of a regular cotton t under equipment. I wash them with my regular dark colors (just like the guy at the store said to)...but I find that even right out of the laundry they still smell kinda sweaty...mind out it it's WAY better than they were going into the wash...

Does anyone else have this problem, of know a trick to washing them. I wouldn't mind being able to wear them as undershirts as well, but not if I can't get the smell out them between games.

A tempary solution is proablly spraying it with air freshners or get one of those scented pucks and leave the UA in your hocky bag and put in of those pucks in, that will get rid of the smell between games.

Two scoops of the powdered oxy clean in a load of laundry makes any smell disappear. Those guys should be paying me.

There's a smell to the shirts, but it's not sweat (at least in mine). It's the same on the shorts I have and other types I have, so I'm guessing it's something in the material.

Okay..so I guess it isn't that unusual. Thanks gang!

As Chadd said, Oxy Clean does wonders on UA (and any other soft hockey stuff like socks, jerseys, etc...) Just remember to throw it in on cold temp and a gentle cycle. If you're really in a pinch, you can even hand wash it in a sink/bathtub with some Oxy-Clean (just make sure to rinse it real good.)

Never used oxy-clean but throwing some baking soda in the washer with the regular detergent removes the smell from my under armor.

Guys, try not to over-wash your moisture wicking garments as the moisture wicking fibers do have a certain wash-life.

Really? I have 4 or 5 so I rotate them quite often. Any idea how long they will last?

Ryan's right - the more you wash it, the least it will last.

I have some WSI shirts that lost their wickingness (is that a word? :) b/c I washed them every time.

I hang-dry mine inside out in my storage room after every game - probably wash it every 3 wks.

I throw mine in a pile and wash them when they're all dirty. Lately it's been once a week but since the ones I use are only $15, it doesn't matter. There's a local guy making shirts with cool-max and selling them for a good price.

Got a bunch from Marshall's for 9 bucks a while back, not a bad deal at all. Also got a couple of jerseys for 20.00 while I was there.

How can you tell that it stopped working? Are you just sweatier when you're done?

Thats crazy, I have only seen the bigger name Dryfit stuff down here so a shirt will cost you $60. Not that I really look hard for them or anything, but it's awesome you guys can get them so cheap.
