Mouth Wash

I was sitting here and thinking,

What if you put some mouth wash in a spray bottle shake it up then spray it onto your gear?

I think I might try it and just see how it goes.

B/c I think it would kill some of the bacteria decently and leave your gear smelling minty fresh.

Any Opinions?

well, I know most mouthwashes have alcohol in it... and alcohol is capable of drying stuff out. But it also could compromise the strength of the material it's exposed to...

Why spend money on over-priced store items when you could make some thing on your own?

And who wants to smell like Theo Fleury when they play?

(terrible, terrible, I know)

I was sitting here and thinking,

You should get up and go for a walk...

Buy something better designed for the job, like a real cleaner or air freshener. Lysol aerosols kill germs and bacteria, smell nice and don't have unwanted ingredients.

Look up the Disinfectant Sprays on www.lysol.com.

if you want reasonably priced, and what will work:

50% green rubbing alcohol (wintergreen)

50% hydrogen peroxide.

mix in a spray bottle.

Wouldn't that bleach your kit?

EDIT: hockey5597 Got there before me... <_<

With the rubbing Shaving cream/gel onto your gloves, did/does it soften the palm up at all, or does it just help with smell. Also did you put it on the inside, the outside, or both?

I think goalies do the shaving cream/gel deal a lot with their gloves. But I think I remember them saying to only use one and not the other cause one of them leaves a bid of residue. Anyone can clarify?

why not febreeze or some other spray specifically designed to deodorize fabrics?

why even try something not made for the purpose, when there are products on the market designed specifically for it?

seems a little silly to me.

The antimicrobial Fabreeze actually works pretty well. I switch up odor products every month or so to keep the bacteria guessing and Fabreeze is in my rotation.
