easton pro pants

Recommended Posts

does anyone know how easton pro pants compare to retail in terms of sizing and fit, im assuming theyre much different, for example in retail i should be buying a 32-34 waist but end up buying 2 sizes bigger so the rest of the pants arent skin tight. im assuming the pro pant might not follow that trend, just want to be sure.

I had a pair of Bruins ones. They were too big, though I forget the size. I was sent the wrong size though I remember that much and had no way to get the one down. They run pretty true to sz though. They are extremely beefy pants just so you know. Like tackla 9000 beefy almost.

Easton pants are similar in size to CCM's but as previously mentioned very beefy. The large size fits me nice and I have a 36 inch waist. Extra large is huge on me. I took the time to try on both at my LHS. Personally I found the Easton pants slighty on the heavy side but the protection is phenominal. I use mine for pickup(we play full contact)and they work out great. For a top end pant they're a nice pant. My other pants are Tackla 5000's and I really prefer them because they're very light and the mobility is very impressive. I still prefer the protection of my Eastons though if I play contact. I guess it also depends on your needs as to what you should buy.

He's talking pro stock, not retail. Pro pant is a different beast altogether and they are European sized, hence the confusion. Read the thread before deciding to answer.

Hey will you look at that. The pant sizes are the same with CCM! What a coincidence. Gee I guess I just don't know a thing. Sorry for stepping into your party J.R.

i wasnt really asking about the sizing i know what inches are,so that info didnt help too much, i was asking more about shape and how bulky they are...

But you were giving him retail spec when it's a pro pant. You still don't get it.

Actually, your name fits you pretty well.

Stevo, I wear a pair of pro stock Eastons size Medium at the moment (AIR model from Chicago) and compared to my last pair of retail Eastons (Synergy 900) size Medium, the pro stock definitely fit a bit bigger and bulkier but far more protective and suprisingly does not affect my mobility.

I have a pair of pro stock Air (Dallas Stars '99) and they are size 52 (34-36 inch waist). They are not too bulky but I'm not sure how the retail ones fit.

The size issue really isn't worth arguing over. I'd think the difference between a pro pant or a retail pant would be the protective quality in the pant itself. You would get much better protective padding in a pro pant. I would venture to think however that changing the sizing of the pant would create considerable confusion when a pro player was trying to pick out a pair for himself.

You do definitely learn from your mistakes so I figure its not really worth getting arrogant about it. I've learned something so you fellas did me a favour.

Saw a pair of Easton Pro pants on ebay that interested me...but they are listed as "European Size 52" What is that equate to? I wear CCM Pro Tacks right now...Size L. I'm a 34 waist.

Tackla uses that sizing system. Check one of their sizing charts (where it goes up to 60 "jumbo huge" or whatever they call it).
