tooley18 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2005 Like: Bauer ( Skates, gloves, helmet and some protective), Jofa, tps (for their sticks that perform very well, absolutly not for their duraility)dislike: Easton ( bad experience with a si-core), nike ( I don't know why but I won't ever use...in between: CCM(Their inline skates seem pretty nice- I just bought the PF6, but for their protective )
predshockey17 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2005 As bad as I hate to say it Mission is slowly becoming the company to dislike for me. I have been wearing Missions Roller skates since 98 and loved them. The past few years have slowly gone down hill. The durability is terrible now. The dna strands would always break. And this years skate look absolutely horrible. So I have decided it's time to find a new skate. Justin if you read this I'm sorry. I always feel bad for knocking Mission. Just giving my honest opinion though.

hehatemefrisbee 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2005 CCM stuff seems to be over-priced, and under-made. Its no that i have a predispostion against using their stuff, its that i dont find it to be made of high enough quality for me to choose it over other brands. Shorthanded67 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2005 As Shorthanded67 said over 3/4 of a year ago, I won't use anything with a Swoosh on it. :D The only reason for the initial dislike of Nike was that I was just bitter for them swallowing the great name value of Bauer/Cooper and riding their coattails. The sick part of that is even though I wouldn't buy anything with a Swoosh on it....I just ended up buying something with an "RBK" on it. I'm such a hypocrite! Overall though, other than sticks (which I'll try pretty much anything once), I just found what I liked years ago and have stuck with it. (ex: CCM Tacks skates, Jofa protective, CCM lid etc...) Don't feel bad about buying reebok, I was thinking the same thing when I first wanted reebok stuff, but the reality is that the reebok offerings are so much better than what nike was producing when they first got into hockey. ladystorm3 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 the only good things about ccm is that they use t-blades, wide boots, lecavliar curve.
forsberg91 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 I will NEVER use Nike stuff. They try to make their gear too fancy and add stupid stuff (example:i was buying shoulderpads and they had a ones that zipped up in the front instead of just being one piece.) I don't really like Nike except for shoes. I don't like companies that try to make every sport.

mattopiela 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2005 I hate Easton. They are the company to blame for the ridiculous prices on sticks (now every company follows) and what where they thinking charging 699.99 CAD for the Synergy skates ? Come on.

They are the company to blame for the ridiculous prices on sticks (now every company follows) and what where they thinking charging 699.99 CAD for the Synergy skates ? Come on. As long as people pay those prices, I don't blame them. Once people stop paying $200US+ for sticks or $500US+ for skates, the prices will stabilize. Until then, the prices will keep going up. Chadd 916 Report post Posted April 9, 2005 so u think we shud have a stirke or sumthin?easton is like gas prices...they keep goin up You shouldn't pay more than you want to. If you don't like the price, look for another brand. If you think the product is worth the price, then buy it regardless of the manufacturer.

G.M. 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2005 I'd love to do a blind test, take logos off of all equipment, color everything the same, and THEN have folks try them. Results would be way different than you see in this thread. I've actually seen this done with NHL players who were stuck on using a certain stick from a certain brand. Boy was it ever a wake up call!
