Mens beer league pants

Recommended Posts

I know there have been some posts about this, but trying to get 2 or 3 pants/girdle's to decide between. I play center or wing.

Looking for non-check mens league ice pants with enough protection, but lite weight and mobile. I currently have some 3 or 4 year old Tackala's that are good, but leg opening above knee pad seems too small and want maybe someting lighter. (Model # is worn off pants, just know they are size 52.)

I've heard good things about the RBK 8k and 6k pants. Just wonding if the 8k's are over kill, and wonder if the 6k's are lighter than the 8k's. Also heard that the Synergey girdle might be the way to go for light weight and just enough protection.

Let me know what you think and your opionions, hopefully on pants/girdles that are still availible. Thanks.

The 8K's will probably be way too much for you(pro-level pant). Can't say much for the 6K's weightwise. I know 2 guys who wear girdles and love them for their mobility.

I love my 3 year old M2's and play beer league.

I'll throw my support behind the M-2's. They have been fabulous as a mid-level pant, and I got them for $50CAN which is a steal.

M-1s. I have 692 tacks but believe me they are a lot more bulky than the M-1s. I was looking around for a friend that needed replacement pants and found that the M-1 pant was the best bang for your buck, as well as overall one of the most comfortable pants on the market.

I rock Itech HP1000's and they're perfect for beer league and inexpensive as well. Just enough protection, very light, and they've held up very well for the past 4 years. Pants are not something one should break bank on.

8Ks are heavy....so I went with the Easton Synergy girdle....super light and great protection. I switched strictly because of the weight. The 8K is a fantastic pant, just too heavy for me...and at 150 lbs, I am always looking to shed weight on the gear.

i have the mission L-3, a pair of old pro supras, and currently use an old inline wrap around gridle and shell. The inline has had more than enough protection and is light. I play the same kind of leagues.

I personally sport the Itech 4000s I think the model is. But I disagree on pants not being something to break the bank on depending on what level of play. Cause if your in a lower level and winding up on your butt is common, whether from you falling or other people's issues, your gonna want some decent protection especially for your butt. I found out the hard way when I was starting and my tailbone hurt a lot.

I'd mention the 5k pant also since you looking at Rbk..they pretty decent mid-range pant. I checked out Missions too and they seem solid, the CCMs are nice but a bit bulky.
