Good on RBK to think this one through. Nike got a lot a bad press when they introduced their new uniform concept before the 2006 Olympics. I saw lots of interviews where players were trashing them. Shane Doan and Marty Turco in particular.

I think it was Kyle Maclaren after the Sharks had been given the new jerseys/socks to wear in practice. They asked him what he thought of the new socks...his response (and I may be paraphrasing slightly)

"I wouldn't know...I refuse to wear them"

I've actually already seen the new RBK jersey's and they are not that bad. They don't resemble what Nike has used and actually look fairly good in my opinion.

I see this new "uniform system" as just one more step from Gary Bettman to turn the NHL into the most watered down, boring, over hyped and under performing fall in line crap fest ala Nascar—but without any of the exciting car wrecks.

So now I can watch no-touch trapping hockey with my favorite 100 year old team wearing the exact same jersey as 28 other teams. Oh fun.

the game, if you dont mind me asking, what team(s) did you see? Curious to know if the outline is like their current jersey or something different.

I haven't seen them...but I was told that there are 12 different designs...so not EVERY team will be unique.

Wow, i must say it atleast the allstar jerseys look good when put together with the rest of the gear. Hopefully the new NHL jerseys look as good.

Yeah, whatever equipment they currently have, just matching colors. I saw the email to the mfgrs a couple of months ago from the NHL with the requirements that needed to be met.

I'm okay with the jersey design and welcome the new fabrics/technology. Gotta keep up with the times you know.

Having said that, from an asthetic perspective, how teams choose to present thier colours and logos will determine if they look good or not.

As for the All Star designs...not too shabby!

I gotta say I kind of like the all-star jersey. Not too form fitting like the Nike ones, which I really dislike. I can't wait to see what the classic jerseys are gonna look like (Montréal, Toronto, Chicago and the rest of the original 6). I like how they actually keep the classic hockey player look, yet adding a little 21st century touch to it. I must say though I'm not a big fan of Buffalo's new logo, but then again it's only one out of 30.
