Easton I-beam vs Warrior Spine tech.

I find it odd that they dont offer the Spyne blade alone as an option if it's so great. AK27 shaft SPYNE blade combo. I'm sure the blade would run $90.00 or so.

I had a dream last night that I took a Spyne blade and smushed a couple of slices of bread with it, and made grilled cheese. And it had the Spyne thing on the bread.

No lie.

Damn, I need to get out of this business.

I use warrior dolomites and I'm just curious cause I have yet to brak a blade, is the dolomite blade solid or foam filled? IMO, it feels very solid, but Im probably wrong haha

Then what does Inno/Warrior do to make the blade have so much feel and stiffness to it? I notice that Warrior blades feel unlike any other blade, and I dont like composites... but those are the closest composite blades you are going to get in terms of feel to wood IMO

The old ones were great, innos from 3+ years ago that is. The new ones are crap compared to those old blades. Same thing goes for the old TPS blades over the new ones.

Why I thought every warrior was just recycled inno? Cheaper manufacturing?

Warrior doesn't like us.

They said we hate them.

There is a difference between hate and cynisism. They market their products toward the younger, more impressionable, dare-I-say "ignorant" consumer. Most of us don't fall into this demographic. We "hate" them because we've exposed their sticks for what they really are? Psh.

Personally, it was my knowlege and experience with the "earlier" product(s) that encouraged the purchase of my AK27s.

I find them to be pretty damn durable, and I love the feel. Mine is a new blade, but it feels great, best feel of any composite I've used...

We hurt someone's feelings. Warrior is emo.

hahahhaha emo. that's awesome. There still seems to be a good amount of warrior users on here though, especially the dolomite. That could be b/c you see so many NHLers with it, but it's my fav stick so far.

That'd be a start. I'm guilty of still using their stuff but they can definitely stand to introduce something new since their last new product went tits-up after a year or two.

And there is nothing wrong with that. I just told them I would like to see something new.

You mean new as in some sort of new innovation? or a new stick line?

Probably something that isn't just a repainted Inno.

New isn't necessarily better, I mean the dolomite isn't the lightest, most technologically advanced stick, but a ton of people use it, in the NHL and amateur... I'm glad they have stuck with it and don't make an entirely new stick every year...

The fact remains that there is a large number of players out there, myself included, who will continue to use Warrior sticks based upon our experience(s) with Inno. I'm sure there are many others on this site who are in the same boat as I am. Honestly, they could decide to roll with the Mac Daddy/Dolomite/AK27, without any innovation ("pun" - if that's what you want to call it - intended) for the next five years, and I think I would probably still continue to use the sticks.

The fact that this particular Warrior Rep turned sour on us because we openly discuss their use/repainting of old(ish) product lines disappoints me.

It's not hard to understand why some people are offended by what we say about their company/product as it's a labor of love for virtually everyone in the industry. It's often hard to accept criticism, especially as outspoken as can be at times. My comments are generally meant to be constructive criticism and I consider it my job to be the critic.

I had bad experiences with the old Inno gear, with the exception of the old blades, and I have seen a lack of durability in the new Warrior gear. In addition, I have serious issues with their marketing campaign. They are taking the easy way out by not actually promoting the actual product and going for the lifestyle. UA used a similar concept and as Jason says, someday they will be using that as an example in classrooms. If they don't continue to push the envelope, they lose their "cred". In the year or so that they have existed, they have had product named after a racially stereotyped movie character, someone who sexually exploits women and now illegal drug use. I give them two years until they just put hardcore porn in the catalog.

They deserve some credit for having such an impact in the industry so quickly, but the methods they have chosen along the way certainly deserve some scrutiny.

I can understand you liking them sticking with the same old trusted product, but then why pretend that its a new stick if we all know it's not? Because it wont sell...

Sounds like we're talking about an insecure teen-age boy here, not a stick company. Wait a minute, isn't this the stick company that has their entire marketing campaign aimed at insecure teen-age boys? And they cannot take a bit of constructive criticism from this board and the players buying and using their product? This just gets curiouser and curiouser......

Don't or can't is the question...

The fact remains, it's a 8 year old stick that is being touted as a new product. Not everyone knows that - but we do.
